Hello everyone. Quick introduction. I am 35, Canadian and been smoking for about 20 years. I am a member on an Audio site and noticed a sticky for E cigs. I saw that thread probably 100 times and never read it. That was until Saturday. It was no where near as informative as this site and I found this forum after days of constant research. (Yes I did my homework);)..

Since Saturday I have had no cigarettes. I hit the closest gas station that sold e cigs.. It took more than one stop. I found a disposable BLU. Tried it and loved it. Then after it was dead I tried a Smoke NV disposable.

After it quickly died I bought the "Health E Cigarette" at a local store. What a POS. Besides one not charging, getting the wrong carts, and getting the wrong voltage adapter, I took it back and demanded a refund. I was told they couldn't refund but to try the "Smoke NV starter kit". Better yes but still not what I need.

I have done too much researching at this point and have become completely lost. I need help please.

I think I have seen every Youtube unboxing and review and as of this morning was set on a joyetech Ego C startup kit.
I jotted down every Canadian site that had them and their price. Including the selection of Juices.

Then I see Twists, 1000 mah, clearomizers? (memory)... The extent of this is so mind boggling for someone trying to quit that I actually broke down and went outside for my first smoke in 4 days. I feel like a failure already.

I know there are issues with every E cig and that you really need to try many to get it right. But this is where I need help. Being in Canada we cant seem to get Nicotine... Is the Ego C what I need? with some stronger American taste liquid?? (love American smokes..all of them).

Should I get the kit but add clearomizers? Twists? Im lost. I want something soo cool that I never want to look at an analogue again.

Thanks for reading

i got this along with two extra 5 packs of cartridges and am happy with it.

edit: coupon code "VoltSave" got me 16% off, spending $55 will get you free shipping (within the US anyway) and the $55 is calculated before the coupon code so you could technically spend like $46 and get free shipping (not sure about Canada though).

Lot of quality kits out there but I can recommend the Ego-C from personal experience. Probably would order the twist versions today. The tank carts that come with them have a tendency to leak so I would spring for some Clearomizers with the kit. Kanger T2 or Vision VivNova are probably the best out there right now. If you get the Clearos, don't forget to get some spare heads too, they generally last a couple of weeks. You will need some juice too.About 2 ml a day is a good rulle of thumb for usage. At least as a starting point. Don't worry, it gets cheaper pretty quickly. Hardware set up being the most costly at first.
You can order the Ego kit in some places with prefilled carts.

Not sure you can get it in Canada but I started with a Dekang USA mix on a recommendation. It worked well for me in 18mg strength. You might need a 24mg strength if you smoked heavy or high strength cigarette.

I started on the C-Store disposbales too and found the newer generation of the Blu to be the best of what is a pretty sorry bunch. I carried one around with me until I was comfortable with my amount of gear and juice supply. They make great emergency standbys. If you are off the stinkys, stay off. Don't go back, don't ever go back.

I started vaping a couple months ago with a ego c kit, but found it to be not enough for my habit. I ended up giving the kit to my gf who loves it and grabbed a lavatube and started to experiment. I have spent hundreds of dollars experimenting with different equipment and still do. But when I look at how much I spent a month on analogs I don't feel so bad. Really u need to start somewhere and everyone is different so my advice would be to grab a ego c kit and see how you like it.

Basically, you need a battery, a juice delivery method, and juice. Clearomizers and cartomizers are a combination of atomizer (the heating element) and juice delivery. Both will work just fine. If you go the ego twist route, you're looking at a 1000mah battery 100mah = roughly 1 hour of active vaping. Decide how often you want to be charging, and whether you'd be more comfortable filling cartos or clearos, and get a pack of cartos or 3-4 clearos (always have backups) and you're good to go.

Juice is subjective..... but my preference is to get juice from vendors that specialize in juice. Kick Bass Vapor, Pink Spot, Heather's Heavenly Vapes, etc. Check the General E-juice section of the forum for more.

Hi Audionut, In My opinion Since you have already had your fill of the smaller slim models, and based around the shopping you have done already I think that a mid sized might be the best fit for you. I am not a fan of the "t" or "c" systems. There are many people who do enjoy them but I have tried them(MONTHS) and dont really get the enjoyment from them as much as other delivery systems.

If you can bite the bullet to do just a reliable pair of batteries with a charger and a small assortment of cartomizers and clearomizers you could bypass the proprietary atomizers such as the "t" or"c" type. So I think that a standard eGo (or possibly better kGo) kit with basic 510 atomizers would likely be the better way to get you started. Add in a couple clearomizers of your chouce and i would also suggest a package of Boge cartomizers in 2ohm. The cartos are so fiddle free that everyone that i help first hand gets a package and seems to be a great way to introduce the benefits of simple vaping.

If you have any ohter questions feel free to ask you can pm me if you like.

I know, the choices seem limitless.

But consider what you spend on cigarettes. You can try a lot of different stuff for that money, I am sure. And just about anything you order is going to be better than the disposables.

Frankly, I could try 3 different starter kits a month in perpetuity for what I was spending on cigarettes.

Wow. Dont get this kind of quick answers in the Audio forums. Thanks to all for the quick helpful responses. I smoke about a pack a day of Pall Mall or similar, red, so stronger. Does the no nic juices come in strengths? Do they really work?

I have never thought of just buying bits and pieces. I will look at kGo's as well. What doesnt give some the enjoyment of the "t" or "c", but something so similar does? These are the things I dont get. I see long wicks, short. Man, did all of you have this problem at the start?

its overwhelming. and you have 3 choices. 1) keep smoking cigs cuz u cant make up your mind 2) keep buying crappy gas station ones cuz you cant make up your mind 3) trust someones advice and take the plunge into the deep end. in the end, #3 is the best option.

I Began a long time ago, before the "t" system even existed, our problems then where different. But Yes is the short answer to your question , we all had our own version of similar issues, and truth be told we are here because we enjoy helping others find that right spot for themselves. Many of us started much like you and many of us are still here today because of the advancements in this burgeoning technology. It continues to get better with every passing revision of devices.

you're on the right path. obviously a little research is worth it cuz you dont wanna throw away money and/or get something that you wont like. but too much research can also be a problem cuz its waste of time and leaves you more confused. so i think what you said is spot on.

with a little research, worst case scenario your first order will be your backup later or something you can lend a friend down the line, best case scenario you find exactly what you're looking for. either way its hard to go too wrong. the advantage of ECF is its all real users who are giving honest advice. googling best ecig will yield a lot of fake reviews and stuff, ya know?

@ filter. There is a definite issue with over analyzing everyones issues and whats the best etc... No different than me trying to explain why one hears music differently than the next. I totally get it. Gotta jump in.

@ Iusedto. I have gone through many Canadian sites. All very similar in price and did research on their customer service. I want a place that I could call if I have issues. I notice many dont leave numbers.. Not to say they are not reputable but somehow it does to me.??

Then again I called one today left a message and no response so who knows. ha ha. Is it normal to order parts and liquid at different locations? Or is it better to try for an all in one.
