so i actually just found out i was member on this forum from a few years ago... i had a pen-style that i have lost and went back to regular cigarettes.

so here is where i am at now, i was given a cigarti as a gift. from what i have found from other threads is that the battery is a M40x and those cartomizers are not longer really available from vendors. there is an adapter? but i have had no luck finding that either... i would prefer not to have to buy from them since the price is a little higher than most but mostly since the flavors are limited.

i do want to quit smoking so i am looking for something to use. i really like the purecig deluxe kit (Deluxe Kit - Pure Cigs) because of the cigarette style recharging carrying case, but i was wondering what model it was? i wouldnt want to be stuck with one vendor like cigarti. and im sure there are others that have some kind of rechargeable case that are cheaper? (if anyone could link me that would be awesome)

i was also wondering what are some of the favorited or cheapest vendors? there are way too many here for me to look at all of them, since half the time i dont know what im looking at in the first place...

so any help/references would be awesome!

Welcome (back) to ECF solardrgn

IMHO, you could get a much better E-cig at a much lower price, by going with either a Joye 510, available at Electronic Cigarette Supplies & Electronic Cigarette Refills for Name-Brand Electronic Cigarettes! E-Cigs from LiteCigUSA,

or another model like the KR808D-1 (The Volt) from say, Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Electronic Cigarettes | Wholesale Electronic Cigarettes | E-Cigarette | Best Electronic Cigarette | Electronic Cigarette.

Also check out E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings for some of the lowest prices on these models.

The 510 and KR808 are probably the most common and well known models, so it would be much easier to find cartos and accessories than for that Pure Cig model. Plus, they are less expensive.

The cartridges (cartos) for those two models I mentioned are also about half the price of the PureCig cartos. And refillable with your own juice.

If you have to have the "looks like a cigarette" deal, take the advice above... If you want something that is going to deliver the power hour after hour of heavy vaping on hot low resistance coils:

eGo 510 650mAh USB Passthrough Battery

It has a charging unit in the base, you can charge and vape at the same time.

i would prefer a cigarette type since they are cheaper, for now... im sure id move up to something else later haha. but i saw this on the volt site:
"*Will Work in VOLT, 808 and 510 Cartos*"
does that mean 510 and 808 cartos and batteries are interchangeable? and it looks like the volt case is out of stock... i emailed them so see when they might expect to have more.

Welcome back solardrgn. Unfortunatly limiting yourself to the cigarette look-a-like is going to make your choices for a quality device very small. The only two that might work at that size would be the Volt or the V4L kits. If you want to really take this to the next level, look at the E-power from Hoosier. Good luck to you!

welcome back to you too smokingee! i plan on getting the volt regardless as something i can carry around. im waiting for them to get the slider PCC back in stock. i know the new mega PCC has over twice power for the same price, but really like the look of the slider. i dont smoke too much now so i dont think i would need all the extra power, at least for now anyway

Have you gotten any time to look over the video reviews Solar?
They have really been very helpful to me, and watching them is not only educating, but also helping me to make future decisions that will be sure to save me trouble, and money?
I'm luvin' them ;)
And I'm thinking I'm going to love the volt for now too, for similar reasons.

Mega-man! LOL-I love power! I need...more power! It's kind of like my computer-you just can never have enough of that! :)

true... but i have a mac and iphone... i WILL pay more for less if it looks cool hahaha. i just ordered my volt kit, a litte sad they didnt have the LED colors i really wanted, but its ok...i cant wait!

i will probably end up buying another, that ego 510 from LF looks great and its only $50 for practically 2. i was wondering how well do the type B attys work? i thought i read somewhere on here about them leaking and sometimes having a burning taste? and what is the difference with an ego-t?

also, are kr8's and 901's the same threads? so that a 510 adapter would work on with a kr8 and 901?

thanks again everyone for helping me get my new e-cig!
