Need help cutting eliquid

Hi all, I purchased some 30ml 24mg strength double shot eliquid in order to dilute it and get it to around 12mg.. So I figured If I take half, which would be 15ml of the eliquid, add 15mls of 50/50 unflavored that would make it 6mg/ml.. am I right?? So I would have to add almost a ml of 100mg strength eliquid to bring it back up to 12mg?

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, I don't want to mess this up.. This is my first time cutting some eliquid

24mg/ml *15ml = 360mg
360mg / (15+15)ml = 12mg/ml

I have no idea what you're doing with 100mg/ml solution if you're only trying to cut 24mg in half?

But let's assume you have 30ml of 6mg/ml liquid hanging around and you add 1ml of 100mg/ml

6mg/ml * 30ml = 180mg
100mg/ml * 1ml = 100mg
total nic 280mg
280mg / (30+1)ml = 9mg/ml
Which is no where near 12mg/ml...

Ahh, I didn't even think about that.. I am so dumb lol just because I remove half of the liquid that doesn't mean it cuts the nicotine in half >.< I don't even know what I was thinking, but the reason why I said 6mg is because if I would half the 12mg with 50/50 eliquid, I figured it would lower the nicotine in half..

I have the 100mg solution from mixing some DIY.. I just put that in there just incase I had to add some, stating that I did have some nicotine liquid..

So basically all you said is I would take 15ml of my base eliquid (the 24mg strength double shot) and add 15ml of 50/50 and it will come out with 12mg/ml?

Lol thanks I was about to screw it all up so bad I want to blame it all on the long day hehe.. I want to know all of the equations for mixing eliquid (without using calculators).. I am not good at math obviously

What if I wanted to make a 18mg off of this? while still trying to keep as much of the flavor.. is it possible?

Um, same formula, just adjust...
24mg/ml *15ml = 360mg of nicotine
If I want 18mg/ml then divide into the 360mg for 20ml
so 360mg / (15+5)ml = 18mg/ml

Total nicotine divided by total volume. (Hence the mg/ml)
