Hi all! I started vaping a few weeks ago. I started with the SmokeTips KR808 kit. I didn't get through the first cartomizer and I was researching refilling them.:vapor:
The batteries don't last near long enough for me so I purchased several 280mah batteries...
Now, I've began DIY'ing my e-juices and am getting tired of topping off cartomizers every few minutes.:( I've been reading up on the eGO's and would like to get some opinios on what would best suit me. I'd like a battery that lasts at least 8hrs (if not more) and a tank/carto/or something that would last at least half as long as the battery. (If there is such an animal!) I know very little about the eGO/eGO-T/RIVA's etc... I've read about people having "leaks" and thats a concern as well since I normally keep my pv in my pocket. (Don't wanna have e-juice leaking and making folks think I need Depends!) Another question/concern is the button on these models. Does the switch protectors actually do a good job of keeping the unit "off"? I've almost pulled the trigger and bought the starter kits I've seen advertised on different sites on sale numerous times in recent weeks. Is any one brand/company better quality than the rest? Or are the all pretty much JOYES that companies are rebranding/changing the names of... like the "Inferno"? Any sugguestions on which model and accessories would best suite my needs:confused:

Thanks in adavance!

Well I hope someone answers your post because I have also been thinking of changing. I've been using the KR since I started a year ago and even though I use my passthru most of the day, getting tried of the messiy filling. Plus I am not that good at it.
I would like someone to tell me what the advantage is of the ego and what types their are. Just don't want anything that looks too big.

I just switched to the eGo with mega carts and the new tank..I like them both, I have the 650mah batteries and they last me all evening, never had it die yet but I don't vape all day. My initial kit came from wordup. Then got the tank atties and carts from them and FSUSA. I don't like to mess with it a lot, so I don't drip, and the tank carts last me a long time and haven't leaked. The mega carts have to have filler and I haven't perfected the filling process yet to prevent a little leakage/overfilling. Obviously the 900mah and 1000mah batteries will last a bit longer without charging.
I like my eGo a lot so far! Sorry if that wasn't too technical.

Thanks Jennie. I've gone back and forth between the eGO-T and the LEO. (Only because I think the wood Leo is very sharp/professional looking). I guess it comes down to functionality, reliabilty, and less work on my part. I think the eGO-T would require less work and provide me with more time between refills... I can't wait till someone out there comes out with a 2 or 3 ml tank for these. I appreciate your input!

i have a ego-t...

i LOVE it.. the tank system is unbelivable. u just drip straigh into the tank and ur good to go for me a single tank last about a hour of vaping straight... so if your a chain vapor you'll get about an hour for each tank.. if you aare not a chain vapor like my brother isin't his litterally last him all day and maybe if he vapes a little more than he is use to he refill's once..

as for the battery life me being a chain vapor i have yet to have a battery die on me. keep in mind though i do charge contantly to keep a high volt.. but i think i went a straight 8 hours of off and on vaping and the battery was still strong ( i am assuming since it was still hitting hard and producing tons of vapor ) so batter is awsome. and i never waited more tahn a hour for a full charge.

edit* i never had any leak problems nor a burnt taste on this ecig.

hope this helps in any way

also keep in mind my ego-t is completly stock. i never used any mod's on anything i'm to scared to lol.

I'd have to say the eGo-T.

Selling points:

650mah battery model lasts 8-12 hours of steady vaping.
1000mah battery model lasts ME 24 hours, it can probably go a lot longer for lighter vapers. I go through 4-7ml of fluid in that time. The 1000mah battery takes 3-4 hours to charge from dead.

Tanks are easily refillable and easily changed. Although I only get an hour or two out of a tank, I can easily carry several tanks with me at a time without worry.

Leaks are possible, but (for me) have only happened on a worn tank. If you replace the tanks regularly, you shouldn't have any leaks at all.

The eGo-T batteries from Cignot can be turned OFF by pressing the button five times in a row quickly. It can not be turned back on by accident, as you have to press the button another five times very quickly to turn it back on. No accidental pocket vaping as long as you remember to click it off before storing.

I have only tasted a light burned flavor once, as I didn't notice my tank was empty. I popped a new tank on, took a few primer puffs, and the burned taste went away immediately.

I would also HIGHLY recommend ordering your eGo/eGo-T from cignot.com. If you order during the week, Vicky ships the same day (if you order on the weekend, it will go out Monday morning), they have excellent customer service, and their prices are pretty darned good as well. They offer both the 650mah or 1000mah batteries in the starter kit, you pick what you want.

Their batteries are warrantied for 60 days, and their atomizers are warrantied for 30 days.

How long did it take you to get your order from CigNot?

I ordered mine on a Saturday evening, it shipped first thing Monday morning, and arrived on Wednesday. If you order early on a weekday, it usually goes out the same day by noon (at least in my experience so far). I have always paid the $3.00 priority shipping upgrade also, with pleasure, it's located as a product under shipping options. Vicky also has optional insurance and signature confirmation options.

Cignot ships fast, as fast as I have ever gotten something from a vendor and she's very helpful (she is who I send all friends to for ordering if that tells you anything). She also sells every possible accessory, ego type, and a good variety of juices (this was NOT a paid advertisement lol).

P.S. Although anytime she wants to send me some Ecopure or SAM mint free I will not argue :p

So, from what I can gather from glancing over some of the threads in this sub-forum the tanks and tankomizers are compatiable with RIVA/eGO/eGO-T's... correct? (I only ask because I found RIVA kits realy cheap with 750mah batts)

RIVA/eGO/eGO-T's are all 510 threaded (or at least most are) and will be compatible.
Also compatible with ego mega attys, ego LR mega attys, ego mega cartos, clearomizers, Boge cartos,
and the soon to be released Smart Carts and Giantomizers.

The ego / riva is mostly a heavy duty battery (650mah - 1300mah) what you thread on to it is up to you. :)

Cool, thanks for the info! I may just have to jump on one of the riva starter kits I found and wait till payday to get tanks/tankomizers to go with it. The kits come with 510 atty's and blank carts so they should hopefully last for a couple of weeks. Since I've only used a kr808, the riva w/510 stuff will hopefully be a small improvement in vaping quality untill I get the T's. If nothing else the battery life's GOTTA be longer than my 280mah auto's are!

Liberty Flights has a Riva 901 with an KR808 thread not the regular 901 thread. They also say it has a working voltage of 3.3 to 4.2 and that would be the same as a KR808. The 510 models are closer to 3.2 volts. You may not think that wakes much of a difference but you will definitely notice it on the same ohm carto.

I have the Riva 510 SE - it is an awesome PV. I drip at home and use T-Tank while driving. Highly recommend the Tank system. Had not had any problem with it.

If you use Liberty Flights you get a 20% discount.
At checkout, use code ECF and you get the immediate 20% discount.
Your entire order ships Priority Mail for just $2.99.

Happy Vaping,
Paula
