Ok I know it sounds off topic but I assure you it's not. I need a thin translucent plastic for a mod I want to build :) But the problem is I can only find wholesalers that want big money, or it's international shipped, or it's to thick. If anyone knows where I can get them or a good alternative it would be much appreciated. I need something that will shine bright with a LED backlight.
Thanks so much everyone I hope I get some hits on this I'm desperate :?:

My best guess would be try finding a model railroad club and ask around there... Or some other sort of modeling group. I know there are folks out there who build models from scratch and who pour their own casts. Might find someone to at least be able to point you in the right direction.

If anyone has a small plastics casting factory in their neighborhood would call for some dumpster diving if they throw away half decent sheets of it as scrap.

google acrylic sheet and try to find local suppliers...
...swing by or ask if they has a scrap bin you could rummage through.

fun part is going to be trying to find something thin enough...

Salt water aquarists do this to get part to build over flows etc...
clear pieces you can fine sand, or sandlblast to get a frosted look/effect...
