Hello all,

I just recently made my first E-cig purchase. I ordered from volcano on impulse, only to regret the decision. The atty does not produce the smoke I desire. Nor does it satisfy my craving for a regular cig. I have smoked about a pack a day for the last 5 years. I've been researching the joye 510 and it seems to perhaps be the directions i should head. However, I have also heard a lot about fakes when ordering online. I was wondering if anyone here could perhaps point me to a good website that has all my vape needs. Also if there is a better model for some one who needs smokes on the go and about 20-25 a day, what is it?

Thanks
Any help is appreciated

There's plenty of information on this forum. Starting on the main page and scrolling down will lead you to a lot of suppliers and their web sites. To say one ecig is better than another is subjective to each individual that uses it. I started with a green smoke, then volcano and eventually got around to a 510 and now an ego. Love them both and use them both. So continue to search and ask questions, there's a lot of great people on here with a load of great information. Good luck and continue the quest to rid yourself of analogs

The 510 is one the the best choices you could do. I would say: you can't go wrong with a eGo kit (that is a 510 with a big battery). Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. has both the 510 and the eGo.

If you want an affordable 510 or eGo (not from joyetech) try Tasty Vapor - no warranty but their eGo seems very good for the price.

Welcome to ECF, I know the information out there can be a bit much but you really can find an answer to anything you need to know here! I think you are in the right direction with the 510 and I can tell you from my experience that after I got my first 510 I never went back to cigs. I know that everyone is different though and it’s going to be a trial and error for a bit until you find a good e-cig and liquid that works well for you. I currently use the ego now because as great as the 510 was, I just like long battery life. But I have to say, in the beginning of my switch I liked that the 510 looked and felt like a regular cigarette and I preferred the tobacco flavored e-liquid at 36mg of nicotine. But after time I started playing around with the strengths and flavors until I found a perfect solution to keep me off the smokes. I could not have done it without the knowledge and advice I found on this forum. Read a lot and ask questions when you don’t know. Good luck! :toast:

Thank you all so much for the help thus far. I am leaning towards the joye ego after discovering just how long the battery life is, If 6-7 hours of heavy vaping and almost 24 hours of average vaping is true then I can't pass it up. However I still do have a question or two.
Does the battery life on the ego really last that long(virtually eliminating a pcc for me)?
Will I be able to perhaps use the car charger i bought with my volcano kit for the ego?
And finally, PG or VG liquids. From my understanding PG has the throat hit and VG has the vapor advantages.

Welcome justburn,

The Joye 510 and the Joye eGo are the same, except that the eGo battery is bigger and will last longer between charges. It really depends on your daily routine, whether you're able to switch and recharge batteries during the day. I got two eGos from Cignot for $78.00.

You will need to buy some liquid so that you can refill your cartridges. Cartridges don't last very long, and they need to be refilled.

There may not be a problem with your Volcano. When your cartridge doesn't have enough juice to keep the atty wick wet, you won't get any vapor and it'll have a burnt taste. If your atty is too wet (flooded) it won't get hot enough to create vapor. If you're using 100% PG juice, it won't produce much vapor. If you're using an automatic battery, juice can leak into the battery and slow the air flow. If you could provide more details about your circumstances, we may be able to help you get your Volcano working (while your waiting for your 510 or eGo to arrive).

You catch on fast! You jumped in ahead of me!

What does your Volcano charger say on it? It may not be very effective for an eGo battery. If you get the Joye eGo kit from Cignot, a battery charger comes with it.

The car charger would work fine as long as you can plugin the eGo charger to the usb port.
I'd recommend taking a look at cartomizers to go with your ego if you're really interested in on the go vaping with no worries about refilling and recharging on a regular basis.
2 filled cartomizer usually easily lasts me an entire day, instead of refilling a cartridge 10 times a day.

On another note should i do carts or cartomizers? I'm leaning towards cartomizers for the purpose of constantly being on the go. Now if i were to buy the cartomizers, would i really need to by the ego starter kit, or could i just buy the battery and charger seperate to save money?

You could definitely go that route, the only other thing you may or may not want is the cone that will thread over the cartomizers. It's not necessary just makes the ego look nicer and some say directs airflow better.

Hi,

If you want a genuine Joye eGo, NicotineNirvana has a coupon code ending July 5 for the Joye eGo kit for $57.23 delivered. I ordered mine last Saturday, and the just emailed me the shipping tracking number.

I tried to post the link to the thread with the coupon code, but I'm a newbie and they won't allow me to posy links. So, just go to nicotinenirvana.com, find the Joye eGo kit (priced at $74.95) and use coupon code 74egoECF

You forgot to mention that's a SINGLE eGo. They advertise DUAL kits when there is no such thing. A Joye kit is always "dual". They ship the new kits with 2 complete eGo's.

Even if they have a nice offer on the "Dual" kit, i wouldn't buy from a vendor that masks prices that way.

It's interesting that you had a bad experience with your Volcano purchase. I'm assuming you got a V-Kit instead of a Magma? The Magma is Volcano's version of the 510.

Back on track though. My V-Kit atty (L88B, same dimension as Blu, but it is superior in almost every way) took a few days to break in. That coupled with some different juice and dipping made a huge difference in vapor production. I also hear that the L88B produces better flavor than most 510 batteries. I will be putting this to my own test soon, however.

I'm sorry to hear you didn't like your V-Kit. You may want to keep it around if you enjoy vaping as it may have better flavor than the 510 atties out there. However, 510 atties will definitely produce more vapor like you are looking for.

Also, look into the eGo/Tornado like others have suggested if you want really long battery life. Especially if you ever decide to get an LR atty.
