What wicking medium are you using?
Have you tried the KGD or other organic Japanese cottons? They wick so much better than most everything else out there.
I think rayon does wick better than KGD however I started getting a scratchiness in my throat after using it so I went back to KGD and won't use anything else.

I've had the same silica wick (Ekowool) in my KayFun for over 4 months, still wicks just fine.

    I use SCN-1.5
    Ekowool

    edit:
    oops, I lied!
I bought that Kayfun on 3-26-14, and that is still my original build in there.
30g wire, 1.25 ohm micro style, wrapped around SCN-1.5
And yes, I use it every day (but not all day)

    My cotton wick explained,

I make sure the cotton feeds easily thru my coil.
Fold cotton so its vertical and install cap while feeding cotton thru.
    Cut flush with the top.
Lightly push cotton down on either side, making sure not to block the channels for your juice.
    Saturate cotton and instal chimney.
    Vape away.

    want to quit

I had that at my kayfun beginning too but for me it wasn't a issue of wicking it was a issue with my coil. Since I used to only use rda's I made smaller coils which automatically burned my wick once I had it on the kayfun. Used a bigger drill bit to build my coils and it worked like a charm.

A spheroid is no where near the quality of a kayfun just as an fyi IMO

Need help wicking a kayfun. Apparently I can't wick for ..... I used to be able get great flavor but now all I taste is dry hits and cotton. Can anyone help?

My do and don't with Kayfun (3.1, Kayfun lite, Russian 91%):
    - Cotton is great for Kayfun IMO.
    - Use at least 30% PG blends
    - Don't cover the liquid channels, unlike Fogger/Orchid you can keep them "unwicked" and keep your wick on the deck.
    - Don't stuff your coils with wicking, you should keep it airy/fluffy.
    - Don't go under 0.8ohm with Kayfuns (I build them 1.2-1.4), they have tight air and liquid flow, more than ~15-20W probably going to dry the wick before it can get soaked again.

This thread has got me wanting to try my Kayfun again. I moved on to RDA's and also a Reo Grand LP and have never had a problem. MY dreaded Kayfun had the same problems from tank to tank. One thing I learned was to only fill it to 3/4 or less on a fill up. I use Rayon; thick, thin, short tails away from the juice channels, long tails stuffed down the chimney etc. and never had good success for long. But when it did work it was fabulous. I'm going to whip up a thinner juice and try some silica wick as a last ditch effort.
