Hello,

I need some help. I purchased an 808A PCC kit, at least that is what is says on the bottom of the personal charger, and things were going well for 4 days. I am not a heavy vaper, so the batteries have lasted.

When I bought the kit there was no manual or instructions in it, but, the seller told me I could find them online...I cannot, not even on her website.

Today one of the batteries began to blink (the blue light on the end) So I put it in the charger and the charger reads "full"...(green light on)...now the second battery has done the same thing, blinking, and I put it in and the light is green.

Or does green mean empty?

I have no information to tell me what's going on, and every time I google I just find adverts selling the product, no explanations.

I have read that keeping the battery in the charger too long will ruin it, but, I am not even sure if it's being charged.

I plugged the Pcc in to the wall and it charges briefly and then shows full as well....

I am leaving the lower mainland for the very far north and worried that I will have nothing to bring with me :(

Also, I spent a pretty penny on this kit :((

Any help or information would be greatly appreciated! The e-cigarette is a 2 piece, a little more than 3" in length when assembled and the one most resembling a cigarette.

Welcome to the ECF! I can't really give you an answer about the PCC, but I do know this: when I started using the e-cig look a likes, mine had a green led at the tip of the battery. When it would go dead, it would blink 6 to 10 times, when I would put the battery on a USB charger, the tip would stay green while it was charging. When it was fully charged, usually within an hour or so, the green tip would go out. That is how I knew it was charged. Hopefully this will help some.

Try a different atomizer (cartridge, cartomizer, filter tip, whatever that brand refers to them as). If it works, then the problem is your atomizer - it's what is referred to as DOA, dead on arrival. There is a chance it's not connecting to the center post of the battery (the positive) and would require, what amounts to at your level of experience in the e-cig world, a very complicated repair (that should be unnecessary for a new unit.

If it doesn't work, and they won't charge any more there is a good chance they are fried and you should return them immediately. I would suggest trying a different device too instead of taking a chance of going through this again in that case. As for a refund, not a replacement.

Battery LED flashing usually indicates one of the following: bad atomizer/poorly connected atomizer, dead battery that requires recharging, or a shorted out PV which needs replacing.

The typical charger will be red with a green flash every 8 seconds or less, and then go solid green eventually when the battery is fully charged. From what you are telling me (and I have NO experience with 808s) the battery is indicating a full charge. If you know this to not be the case then you have a pretty serious issue that usually amounts to battery failure.

Charging a battery for too long won't ruin it. It can be dangerous because if the overcharge protection circuit fails the battery will vent in a runaway thermal reaction (see also: fireworks). Keeping a battery constantly at 100% charge is also detrimental for it, but you can't worry about this kind of stuff. There is no kind way to treat an e-cig battery. No matter what you do to it, it will die young. After 300 full discharges and 300 full recharges it is recommended it be replaced because studies have shown that all lithium ion batteries uniformly lost 30% capacity permanently after this many full discharges/recharges.

Mitch, if you're interested in stepping up to what is probably the most widely-recommended setup right now, you could read this thread:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/338444-noob-needs-advice.html

It's what I'm vaping on right now; the Joyetech eGo-C Twist (variable voltage), and the Vivi Nova tank/atty. Great vape, very easy to use, very cheap. (The Twist is about $20-24, and the Vivi Nova is about $10-13).

That thread explains in great detail the advantages of variable voltage vaping.

Remember, the money you've already spent will not be wasted. You'll simply have more equipment to choose to use for different occasions; look-alikes are nice to have around IMO. If you have the $$ to spare, you could order this setup to use while you sort out your PCC, and to use as backup if it ever conks out altogether. Backup is incredibly important for long-term success.

I recommend this thread as well:

This is the only link I can find for this particular product...there is an 808D that comes up in the google search, but not the same one.

VS808PCC-MINI Kit + 10ml E-Juice

After leaving one battery in the charger for about 40 minutes it did work, but this morning it is dead again.

I spent $97 on this kit and I would be very disappointed to find that after 4 days it is useless.

The irony of it all is that I am using the e-cig I was given, a very cheap $14 one with disposable cartridges, and I just drip some liquid in to the open cartridge and it works well...and it keeps a charge and charges well!

I thought by upgrading I could enjoy a superior product...*sigh*

If your PV is the same as in the link it's only 90 mAh...100 mAh= 1 hr vaping before recharge is needed. If possible get a refund. A good 1100 mah starter kit, depending on the model, should be anywhere from $50- $60.

OK....I got through to the vendor and he talked me through the charging and will send me the pdf file for the manual.

Turns out, I was reading the charge for the Personal Charging Case, and it was not a reflection of the battery charge at all.

I needed to hold down a button until the cig battery blinked and then the Pcc began charging the cig battery.

Thing is...I have only ever smoked 'second hand' smoke...I am addicted to it; I like to fill my lungs deeply with the smell of a good cigarette. I have no addiction to the whole 'hand-mouth' thing.

I bought an excellent ego-C for my partner and this little one for myself, so we could vape together. He cannot quit, and I'm not a nag. I am happy to find some common ground. I am allergic to cigarette smoke and it makes my nose run. Vapour does not.

Also, when I vape my sinuses clear, my lungs can breath deeper and my heart feels lighter (serious low blood pressure issues) My daughter explained why (medic), something about dilation of capillaries and what not....

Thank you for all the responses...I am very happy to have that little critter working again!!!

Some day I might upgrade; however, those large ones aren't as pretty :) I wish, though, that some looked like pipes...that would be cool! (yes, yes narcissistic!)

They do make ones that look like pipes, and maybe someone will come along to help you with that.

Glad to hear you are happy with your set up, and got it to work. As others have said, you overpaid and there are others less expensive models that are cig-a-likes that can fill your need. But the most important thing is that YOU are happy with the item you bought, and it fulfulls YOUR needs.

Hey there, back again....been hard at work.

So, my daughter has gotten in to this in a big way, and she has oodles of ecigs now...the ones that look like cigarettes. She is gearing up to make a youtube video review of some of the products. I have to say that after sampling many of these lower priced automatic ecigs, I like my 808 better...more vapour and better flavour.

Some of these she bought tasted awful, in particular the "vapour couture" model made by V2..very disappointing...tasted like burning plastic and very little vapour. They are not as chic as they appear in the advertisements either...oh, and poor service/help. She researched and figured out how to replace the filler and use tweezers to make sure it wasn't packed too close to the bottom and that helped but, still not a good ecig.

So, I kept the ego ce4 that I had bought for my friend and he thought it looked too dorky to use. I absolutely love it. I was saddened the clearomizers did not last long and leaked, as well as cracked near the bottom. I have just ordered two new pass through batteries and 2 rebuildable vivis.

For someone who never smoked I am into this! Nicotine takes away all my muscle inflammation and keeps my eyes from watering. My new job is extremely physically demanding and in -35 weather...digging, hammering...etc It has helped enormously to vape before I begin work; my heart rate goes up and I have an easier time. Actually, I don't need to vape as much now that my heart is in much better shape.

It helps me get to sleep at night and calms my nerves...

Oh, another thing: my daughter ordered every flavour known to man from various distributors. Quite a few of them are irritating to the back of the throat. I have found that Pink Spot has liquids that do not cause irritation and I am a big fan of Swagger...

well, that's all..now to peruse the forum

    Mitch -

Hey, first of all, where us Chilliwack? Love the name.

Also, I strongly encourage you to try out a variable voltage eGo-class battery like a Joyetech eGo-C Twist or Vision Spinner with a Vivi Nova tank on it. Great stuff. Not to "replace" anything ... just to try out. Couple of batteries, couple of chargers, couple of Vivi Novas. I really think you'll like them.
