Hi all, I just got my Aga T2 in fabulous condition, thanks to one of the bros here. I definitely know the following problems are not the from the Aga. Usual oxidising fully done on entire mesh, fitting into the wick hole was a little tight but still able to slide down. Tried 3, 4 and 5 coils and tested ohms on Vamo and this is what happened:-

1) Reading on Vamo is inconsistent, at different times it would show between 1.5ohm-2.2ohm.

2) Started pulsing, top coil at times keep flashing, almost going into shorts. Most of the time lights up into a hotspot. Always happens. Tried moving and tweaking it here and there, pulling it closer to the center post and making sure all coils are not too strangled. All coils spaced so nicely I can probably be the most accurate spacer for coils in the world. But the hotspot or near-shorts still happens.

3) After testing the ohms, let's say its at 1.8ohms, I fire a little to check for hotspots. Once checked, I fire again and Vamo shows Lo. Check ohms again and it always falls to a range of 0.8ohm-1.2ohm. This is weird. Each time I adjust the coils, it goes back to a range of 1.5ohm-2.2ohm. Once I fire, it drops to very low ohms.

Seriously this is frustrating me out and I just wanna punch someone. Help.

Lets meet up, I help u coil...

Lol appreciate bro, but I dun wish to trouble anyone. And gotta learn better in order to be able to master it myself and overcome all these problems. Hopefully someone who has met with these problems before can guide me on the issues causing these.

Will try it again tonight. Dismantle, wash, rebuild. See how it goes. Maybe gonna use washers or twisting coil method.

Does ur mesh torches the base 9f the atty?
What guage wire u using?

Nope bro, I made sure it doesn't touch the base nor the center pole. Nor does it touch the negative and positive posts. Its pretty weird. Something did happen though. I was able to get all coils to light up together once. Then when I tried firing the second time, the ohms dropped and my Vamo couldn't fire. So I adjusted a little on the coils again and it can fire again. But fires only once each time I adjust the coils. Every time I tried to fire second time, the ohms drop drastically.

Ah ha! Now I know pretty well where the problem lies. Thanks to all ur pointers! I use 32g kanthal with 400 mesh. Will try with 500 mesh and slim down the thickness. Did not torch my wires. Will do it too. Will thorough clean too.

I believe that sums it up. Kudos to all ur replies and guidance guys! Thanks a mil!

By coiling the balance wires around like this will also help.. Thats what i do.. Other than that is by loading spring and washers like the picture below

Lol. Got frustrated and I end up doing a U-wick with silica. wrapped ss mesh on the base of the wick and coiled 6 wraps which gave me 1.9-2ohm. Now vaping like crazy. Great flavor, tons of vapor. Throat hit not that bad, a little mild but maybe due to 6mg juice. A little adjustment only and not hotspots at all. Overall its pretty incredible thanks to the tutorial online.

Here's how it looks. And final finish. Though the aga doesn't sit flushed with the k100 like the vivi does, it certainly has the same stainless steel finish. IMO still looks more of a killer than the vivi.

Lol he's british if I am not wrong. Well, ss mesh u-wick would be more difficult if can't even get the normal ss mesh wick working. So i rather go with the silica plus ss mesh combi. I feel the flavor and vapor doesn't lose out to ss mesh. For me its flavor and vapor over throat hit.
