I am rebuilding a mini protank clone coil to put ontop of my vision spinner. I have 28 gauge kanthal and organic cotton. I know how to do it but i really want to be sure that I get as close to 2 ohms as possible. I will be wrapping the 28 gauge kanthal around a 2mm thick little screw driver. How many times should I wrap to get close to 2 ohms? I don't want to blow up and I also don't want to have a dry vape I'm looking forward to big clouds and lots of vapor!

You really have the wrong gauge wire... you'd need 13 wraps on a 2mm mandrel for 2.0Ω with 28 gauge... and that's estimated with 5mm coil legs.
You'd be better off using 30 gauge wire at 9 wraps. If the legs are substantially longer than 5mm, reduce the wrap count, roughly 1 turn per 3mm of leg length.

And... buy a build box/ohm meter (for starters)... because most folks won't feel too comfortable knowing that you have no way to verify resistance. ;-)

Daniel, as State says, get a meter. It's essential.

OTOH, here's the best coil calculator I've found online. Try it, all variables are covered in the "Advanced" mode.

Last but not least, your Mini Pro-Tank (Kanger?) was not designed as a rebuildable, although they can be resucited if must be. With replacement heads about $1.50 ea, you will spend more than you'll save, and if unknowingly you get a resistance that is too low for your Spinner, you might fry the chip.

I don't want to burst your balloon but when I started fiddling with replacement heads (Aerotank and —heaven forbid– Nautilus) I found that it was too much of a hassle and a hit or miss proposition to bother. I bought a Kayfun and a VW mod and never looked back. The repairable tanks were given to beginner friends to help them out of clearos.

My earnest suggestion if you want to get into rebuilding is to get a proper setup. Either a true RBA tank (like a Kayfun Lite 2 which is excellent and can be found for the price of 3x10ml juice bottles) or even an RDA and enjoy the marvelous flavour of a good dripper. Put that on top of most any VV/VW mod (Vamos are pretty affordable) and you're rolling.

I bought two KFLs at Fluid Vapes and they work perfectly. $29.99 each.

Kayfun Lite - User Manual

Very long thread but it has everything you would want to know about Kayfuns: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/rebuildable-atomizer-systems/436118-kayfun-lite.html Seems that every user problem has been addressed multiple times.

Here's a very handy tip which I use often: Trapping the coil's leads. Helps to keep from pulling your coil out of shape when installing it.

I use Koh Gen Do organic cotton for wicks and recommend it to everyone. Very easy to work with, wicks well and has no taste of its own. I got mine here: Koh Gen Do Organic Cotton Pads at DermStore
