I've been vaping since December 2011 and I only vape one flavor, Minthol. I started out at 16mg and tried to lower to 11mg but the flavor changed drastically from menthol to spearmint. The company explained they mix the flavors below 16mg differently and if I wanted the same flavor I needed to stay at 16mg, so I did. All 16mg has been spot on with flavor until my order this week. The two 50ml bottles I received were full blown spearmint flavor. I contacted the company and they did replace them but the flavor is different so I am guessing they have either changed the recipe or products they mix with. I know about steeping but I have always been able to use the juice right out of the FedEx box until now. The 11mg I purchased in Feb. is still sitting on a shelf and the flavor has not changed at all. My husband has tried the juice as well and agrees they are as different as night and day.

Now I am stuck with either finding one that is very close or the same as my one and only flavor or going back to analogs. I use SmokTech eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer's on the JoyeTech eGo 18650 Battery Mod. I've tried other flavors that my husband vapes and I just don't like sweet, candy flavors or tobacco harsh flavors. I always smoked menthol analogs and that is really the only thing I like.

Does anyone know of a good menthol juice or have or know of a good menthol recipe? I may be forced to start mixing my own at this point. The juice I am using doesn't have a lot of information other than it is 50% PG. I tried a VG heavy juice my husband was vaping and I thought I would barf. The hit wasn't so bad but the after taste was horrible.

Any help the Vets can give me will be much appreciated. If you have a good recipe and don't want to post it please PM me with the info. I swear I won't share with anyone. I am up against a wall right now and trying not to freak that I cannot get the same flavor that I love. If I can find one that is close I will be happy. I don't like vaping spearmint gum...barf!

I've tried a number of different menthol and mint of all types and found a little something lacking in each. Most are simply too sweet, giving it a candy or gum type flavor.

I've gone to DIY my own and found the recipe I like very simple. I'll start with unflavored 50/50 nicotine blend of the correct mg of nicotine, and add enough pure menthol drops (menthol crystals in PGA or PG) to taste. Then for a change of pace when I want, add in peppermint, wintergreen, or even spearmint to taste. The menthol drops are strong and carry most of the flavor load with the other background mint or combination of mints for variety.

Check out the DIY E-Liquid forum for the stickeys (and READ, READ, READ) for safety's sake and the threads for any help in mixing your unflavored base liquid. Start by mixing small batches (3-5mL) to get an idea of how much flavoring you like, and keep track of your proportions and never again have to rely on some company's recipe staying the same....:)

I am a menthol person myself... and I agree that it can be frustrating to find that "go to" juice... and once you do... something invariably changes and you end up back at square one...
The good thing about menthol vapes is that they are rarely horrible or intolerable... they are almost always vapable.

I think I know where you are coming from... I am familiar with the juice you are speaking of... and it seems like it should be an easy fix since it isn't the world's most complex recipe... on the other hand... finding it is very much like "chasing the dragon" if you know what I mean...

I tried 30 different menthols chasing menthol ice when pure smoker discontinued it and I never found anything quite like it... It should have been easy... it was a basic chinese juice from what I gathered... should be rebranded somewhere else... right?
I did however... after spending a lot of time and money discover a few that I liked...

If cost is an issue to you... I'd suggest blue mist's hyper mint and ask them to leave any spearmint flavor out of it...
I also found that dekang menthol mixed with some ecopure base was quite palatable and cost effective... I bought 24mg and added a a ratio of little more than 1/3 of the eco-pure base.

a lot of folks here like prothol... from vapor cast.. I found it to be a little to dry and straight-up... yet it cannot be denied that it does the trick for many many people here... it's a fairly safe bet... and cs was terrific.

Halo menthols rarely disappoint - I am a fan of their true pure... which has a little more sweetness and smoothness to it... though menthol ice seems to be the most popular...
Totally wicked's patriot range menthols are also clean and have articulate flavors...
...and e-liquid planet's juices should also fit this profile...

I'll list my favorites... but keep in mind that these are not recommendations to you based on you preference.. I put an "*" next to the ones I might recommend to you:

Bluemist smooth
bwb menthol strong
puresmoker's silverleaf menthol
Aroma's P-38 with WTA... (investigate thoroughly before you buy)
*Halo Truepure
*Halo Menthol Ice
*Totally Wicked's Nuport
*LiquidXpress cool rush
Dekang menthol

lastly... do investigate the diy route... lots of knowledgeable folks here that can lend you a hand in creating a superior juice.
