This is bad if your button light is staying on. It should not do that. I would send it back.
There are a lot of Ego clone knock-offs with questionable quality. These are all made in China.
Even original joyetech batteries can sometimes have problems. Don't get me wrong, there are
some good Ego clones out there such as the Vision "Spinner" batteries.
VISION Spinner eGo VV : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

What type of clearomizer did you buy?
I personally like the Mini Vivi Nova. Easy & rebuildable.
You might try something a little sleeker like the ego "Mop Head" Clearomizer.
eGo Mop Head Clearomizer (Yellow) - $5.49 : Heathers Heavenly Vapes, Top Quality Custom E-Liquids

Good luck

I'm a bit suprised that as a Volt user your not aware that Smokeless Image sell Ego size batts in 650, 900, and 1300 mah. I use the 650 and 900 myself. Smokeless Image don't do vv if you specifically want that.

I personally think calling users of a device a cult is over board also (this wasnt the OP). You could say that about most vapers who rave about the twist or provari, or a bunch of other devices. The cult label started on some ones biased blog. There are several good devices and room for variety.

If 3.7v is your sweet spot then the Volt X2 is a good batt. Sometimes it's worth checking what else a supplier has available. SI have been selling fatt batts, clearomisers and other stuff for quite a while now.

That battery that the OP has should not be continuing to fire once the button is released. It is defective and should returned to the vendor.

I agree with Kiwivape in that you didn't stay with Smokeless Image and try their X2 ego-size batteries. At least you've had a trial run with variable voltage. Since you still find that 3.7 volts is your sweet spot, you found that you may not need variable voltage, at least not at this stage of your vaping experience.

Unless you plan on eventually quitting vaping altogether, you might also consider something other than the disposable battery devices like you've had. There are small-sized tube mods that are extremely durable and will last years. They take smaller rechargable batteries which last about a year.

Just as an example, Altsmoke's BB is a 3.7 volt device about the same length as a 650 mah ego type battery, but a little thicker in diameter. It takes a AA-sized 14500 battery that could last you roughly most of the day, and each battery will cost less than $8. Carto tanks and tanks like the vivi nova easily carry 3-6 ml of juice on top of one.

Holding a BB for size comparison, BB with Smoktech 3.5ml DCT tank, Smoktech 6.0ml DCT tank, and Smoktech Titan/Screw clearo tank.

Twist, best battery. An all rounder, even the pros uses them. That's what they say.

What is a pro? As far as I'm concerned a pro is some-one paid by a supplier to do reviews. I prefer reviews by other vapers.

The KGO vv has a better range than the twist and better increments. Which isnt to say the twist is bad but a number of twist users have found the KGO better.

I recommend doing a forum search on the vvs.
