Greetings,

I had a running thread in the new members forum and people were very helpful, but I feel like that thread has run its course. I've educated myself thanks to this great site and community, which I am very thankful for and I'm almost ready to start my analog free journey. But I need some more info before I place my first order and I'm hopping the Vets can help me out.

I've settled on a Kgo Kit for my first purchase but I'm stuck on what to slap on top.

Carts and Attys seem like old school stuff and I'm not down with dripping. So the logical choice seems to be a Carto.

Now the regular Cartos seem ok, but from what I have researched a tank or a CE2 style carto might be the way to go since I'm looking for something that will last all day and refill at night along with a battery change. I like the idea of the CE2 styles because its a more of a form factor slim version of a tank. However, there seems to be a lot of issues with the wicks and atty at the top causing dry scratchy hits and requiring you to tilt or charge the wicks.

So my questions are:

1) What is the difference between a Clearomizer, Fluxomizer, and CE style Cartomizer, or are they all pretty much the same thing. A tank +carto, but in a slimmer form factor style?

2) Are there any Clearo/Fluxo/CE style Cartos that have the coil and wick at the bottom? It seems like this would be a logical design that would work best.

3) Should I just go with a tank?

Thanks for taking the time to read this, I greatly appreciate and advice.

Regards,
Boda

1. The original non-filler cartomizer was the CE-2. At first it was in a metal body - standard size. The coil is on the top, the wicking is 'strung' like a tentitcles :) through the tank. There were many tweaks of this model having to do with glue, plastic parts, etc. that sent out off tastes. Later versions included an XL longer tank. Clearomizers had clear plastic tanks and had cracking problems at first - still don't know if this is completely handled. Fluxomizer was just another name by a vendor with the added 'testing' for the 'right' ohms for best quality vaping. Of course they all came in a variety of ohms.

2. No coil at the bottom on these types - they'd flood. The coil at the top depends on how well the wick, wicks :) I've found that the XL's had trouble wicking the length of the tank.

3. The tank mod with the CE2's or others inside is just a method of getting more ejuice than the .8 standard or 1.whatever XL lengths. The tank surrounds the carto and ejuice is taken into the carto by a small hole. Basically - a 'side feeding' cartomizer.
