Need help with EGO Pass-through

Hello all,

Was hoping to get some help.

Ok, so, I just got a 650 Mah pass-thru joyetech EGO batt and I've tried charging it thru the port on the bottom, however, no lights come on and after a minute the port at the bottom became very hot. I unplugged it. Let it cool down. Tried again. This time the top where the normal threaded charger would go is very hot. The battery will now not turn on.

I just tried charging through the regular threaded side and now the battery turned on but will not turn off.

I clicked it 5x's and the button is both orange and blue.

I've already messaged the merchant but a little anxious and wanted to know if anyone has had any issues like this.

That sounds like a bad board or hard short somewhere in the charging circuit. It's definitely not good and shouldn't be used.

Call me extreme, but I'd hesitate to leave the battery on anything that could burn. If you can put it outside on a non-flammable surface for a while just to be sure, that would be best. If not, put it on the stove in a metal flat pan so anything that happens can't cause more problems!

Thanks for your concern and quick reply. I'm with ya, I'm gonna leave it somewhere far away from me and as soon as I can get it home in the oven or something.

I, too, was having issues with both charging and using my passthrough when attached to my computer's USB port. A usb wall charger adapter solved that problem.
