I have a baby beast t8 coil and I've only used it for a day or two when I got the message "atomizer short" so I talked to a guy and he told me to look inside of it and make sure the coils are tight. When I took the RDA and the rubber seal off the end of the coils got exposed and are touching the walls. I don't want to do any damage to it so can someone tell me how to make sure the coils are tight and how to make sure I don't blow myself up with the coil touching something it's not supposed to be touching.

I use a joyetech cuboid and I've only gotten that message with that t8 core. I had a Q2 core and it didn't give me that message, but it was time to replace the coil so I used the t8.

Hmm.. Head scratch.
I see that the Cuboid has a minimum resistance rating of .1Ω, the T8 is close at .15Ω and perhaps the cuboid sees it below the threshold. (Q2 is .4Ω)

If anything else pops to mind, I post back.

Cheers

Welcome and glad you joined. Tanks can be tricky sometimes.

I wouldn't be worried too much about blowing yourself up. The mod told you it had a short and refused to work. That's what they're supposed to do. Sure, they can fail, sometimes badly, but it isn't a common occurrence. That said, I suspect you have a bad coil, which does happen. Remove and repalce the coil, remove and replace the tank from the mod. If that doesn't fix it, try another coil.
