Need help with my mini

My mini isn't working!

I was going to send it in, but maybe it's something minor that I'm missing?

-cleaned really well, fresh naolox
-atty/carto (tried both) appear to be making a connection
-the little silver thing is making a connection with the battery
-spring looks OK

Am I missing anything?

check your batteries on a meter to make sure they got a charge

No voltage reading at the connector .. what could be the cause?

most likely the Little silver thing as you put it is broken it may not show as it is wrapped in plastic insulator so may appear ok

I don't know if this means anything. This is not new and it's used A LOT- but recently it seems there is more 'play' in the button.

That could be it.

does your volt meter have a continuity setting ? something that may look like this ?

If so put one probe on the silver tip and the other on the center of the atty connector does the tester buzz ?

Yes, I do see that.

It doesn't buzz but I'm getting random numbers.

Is it digital ? if so they tend to move around when no connection put the probes together and what does it do ? what your testing for is continuity ie a good connection

I just looked at one of my meters it has both symbols in different spots look for the first symbol only on your meter that one will buzz
