Good to get an upgrade but outta the protanks the 2 was probay the worst iteration imho. The 3 was a vast improvement but overall when i was still using ego stuff, I eventually steered away from Kangertech stuff. Coils always went out quicker and never performed as well as I'd like. Have you checked out the Aspire Nautilus or other tanks? Theres plenty in the same price range with superior performance. Either way welcome to ECF and glad theres one less smoker in the world.

Try putting new coils in.

Clean and/or dry burn the old ones for longer life. I've never used this particular tank, but I know that many people here on ECF have had good results with re-coiling and/or rewicking Protank 2 coils. I have had some success with cleaning my Kanger single coils, and can usually get at least 2-3 extra use cycles from them. I tend to use dark, sweet eliquids, and cleaning the coils does save a bit of money over just tossing them when they start flooding or tasting funky.

What you're describing is not an uncommon issue with the Kanger T3s. Some vendor sites actually mention these issues and list resolutions. Also, the tank is made of polycarbonate plastic and doesn't react well to certain juices, e.g. "red hots" can crack the tank. Like others, I think you should upgrade to a Protank 2/3 or equivalent.

All the contact points need to be dry. Also, remove the clearo from the battery and gently blow through it using a tissue at the other end to catch the excess liquid. Clean and dry everything off then you should be back in biz.

If it happens again check to insure the coil head is screwed into the post all the way and the contact area there is dry.
(if the t3s has a replaceable coil)
Cheers.

I used T3's and Protanks for quite a while - here's a few thoughts:
1 - Once you get a burnt taste, it may never clear from that coil. Best to try again with a fresh one.
2 - I found that the coils often came with TOO MUCH wick, and the liquid couldn't "keep up" with my vaping - that's when you get a burnt hit. I'd carefully pull ONE STRAND of wick OUT, then fluff the rest before use. This made it looser, and more liquid could reach the coil. Worked much better for me, and I was happy finally with those coils.
3 - If you buy a new protank - WASH IT it hot soapy water before use. Many of them came with some "machine oil" from manufacturing that will ruin your flavor
4 - Might want to jump to at least an "Aerotank" or "Nautilus" - these work in a similar way, but have better airflow for MORE VAPOR.

Hope you get it all working!!

I know that most starter kits are the evods, t3's, and relatively garbage antiquated cartomizer tanks. These are cheap upfront and are usually the first thing people replace. Look into the new geni-tanks by Kanger or an emow they have adjustable airflow and have glass tube that won't Crack from using citrus juices. Aspire nautilus and nautilus mini are very good options to what you have now. They will not be cheap prices but they are a worth while investment when you consider that depending on your location and how many pack a day your habit was it is still less than a weeks worth of cigs. Good luck and stick with it you have the ECF family here to help you get there.:)

I agree. Not good tanks. I wouldn't recommend a Protank 2 either, they have more or less the same issues.

I use a PT2, but it has homemade coils and airlfow control. Without those i.m.o. it's a poor tank. The base design was planned by Kanger to reduce liquid flowing into their atomizer heads. This makes them less leaky but you get dry hits and burn-out as soon as you take it up to any sort of power.

So, I would suggest not going for PT2.
