Need help

hey guys

So I attempted my first juices about a month ago. I tried to make muffin man, Congo custard and a strawberry cream custard. They all are pretty much flavourless, they smell nice but when I'm vaping in my crown, there's no taste.

I have a 80/20 vg/pg mix and based on what I've read, I've probably added too much flavour. Can I salvage them at all?

Sure. Try mixing a ml of plain pg/vg with a ml of the juice you made. This will half the flavoring and see how it tastes.

Can I do that directly into my crown tank and just shake the two up in there?

There are 2 major things that can cause this:

1. If your vaping 80vg/20pg and haven't added water then it could be your mix is to thick. Generally you add distilled water to thin it at about 5 - 8%.

2. Over or under flavoring can also mute flavor. If over flavored you would add more base to the mix to dilute it. If under flavored you would add more flavoring (Usually in 1% increments) until you reach your desired flavor level.
You may want to give the percentages of flavor used so we can help you figure out how to adjust this.

I made a 30ml batch with 2% French Vanilla, 1.5% Sweet Cream, 3% Sweet Strawberry, 8% Vanilla Custard.

In regards to distilled water, is there a certain type that should be used?

Nah, just distilled water. Easy to find in the US and pretty cheap.

Your avatar picture makes it look like you're from EU, and there(atleast in denmark) most sites and stores often carry demineralized/deionized water instead of distilled, and distilled is also more expensive here, so just use one or the other according to availability and price, as both are fine for our needs of a mineral-free water...

I cut the mix with some base mix yesterday, left the caps off and shook it four times since then.

I'll give it a taste tonight and see if it's actually got some flavour now.

To add a tidbit from my trials using vanilla custard. Capellas takes about a month to mature, the V2 version however I've found to be very different (and better imo).
The V2 had a much better custard flavour when it was fresh mixed compared to when it had steeped even just a few days.
Instead of mixing half a liter at a time, when using the V2, I will be making 30ml at a time in the future. Unfortunately I'll have to vape through another 400ml. first.

LOL, yes it is now, but when I made that post then the OP had another avatar pic resembling a british flag with some other euro-like looking flag underneath I personally hate it when people don't add location-info to there profile, but of course it isn't mandatory, but just really helpfull often for giving proper replies to inquiries...
