Hi, after two weeks of happy vaping, I've run into my first problem....

I have 2 ego-t type 2s made by egozigs.de. On one of them the atomizer was getting really tight so I decided to follow the guidance here and take the wick component out for cleaning and a dry burn. Everything was going well until I tried to get the silca wick back in. Mine didn't have the metal wire around it like some people in the Youtube vids seem to have and it basically fell to bits as I was trying to put it back in.

So I found this thread where doolak is selling them: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-wick-3-mm-temperature-resistance-1000-c.html. Being new, I can't PM him or post on that thread. Is that stuff going to go into my ego-t? I'm pretty certain it will and it's pretty cheap so I was going to go ahead and order some. I just thought I'd check first. This is perfect for me because I am currently living in Germany.

So if I do go for this, should I just never take the wick out of the holder thing or is there some way to tie it together so that I can take it out in future to give it a good clean/burn?

Thanks

If you have a set up that looks like this:

You do not need Wicks you need these (Tank Cartridges):

You change the Atomisers like this:

If this is Not your setup, can please post a link to what your setup is?

The pictures you show are of an ego-c, not an ego-t (type B).

The Atomizer component doesn't detach in the same way. They can be pulled out of the cylinder and look like this:

The wick taken out of the wick holder piece looks like this:

However, I my case there was no mesh around it so it just fell to bits.

I can buy the wick holder component inside the attomizer but these are these are a few € each. Silica wick material is around 3€/meter (i.e. enough for 50-100 wicks). What I would like to do is just put more wick in the holder thing.
