are wicks in an ego-t atty suppose to burn? ordered some attys from bestecig.com and they get stiff very fast in a day or two. so i washed them and took a couple apart. as i seen in another video the guy burned the juice off his wick with a lighter and reused the wick, because the wick is made of silca it isnt suppose to burn right. well mine just turned to ashes when burned! so anyway im without a wick so i put it back together to try the atty to see if i can still use it just as an experment, the best time the atty taste. you can taste the burning wick in the other attys now. new to this and thought thats what it suppose to taste like. so time to swith to cartomizers or dripping

Yes, the wick can burn if it isn't kept wet, and that's true for any system that has wicking material. Cartomizers are great, but you have to make sure you fill them completely and don't let them run dry or they will burn as well. Once you burn a wick you'll never get that taste out.

I have tried dripping, and while the flavor and vapor is nice it's more of a pain than it's worth. However, some people swear by it. You may like it.

Silica or glass fibre wicks don't burn, but they get brittle with enough heat. If what you had turned to ash, it's got to be made of something else. The stuff I use in my Bulli A2 rebuildable atty is glass fibre and can be scorched clean with a blue flame. Same with CE2 cartomizer wicks and stuff I've removed from some old atomizers.

i think some of the asian vendors are using reg wicks in attys, tried to dry burn an atty and it also burned the wick. these attys are not like the joye product no wire mesh on the top of the wick either, just a long wick inside that sometime also covers the breather hole causing a stiff drag and cant be adjusted like the joye. the wick runs through the coil and cant be replaced. guess you get what you pay for. like i said was bought from bestecig.com
