hello folks,

really hoping you guys can help me out. i purchased a protank 3 about two weeks ago after reading about it and watching all of the reviews on youtube. i got it home, washed it out throughly and filled it up. first few hits didnt taste the best and not much vaper produced so i let it sit over night to let the juice soak into the wicks. the next day as i used it more, the proformance kept dwindling as i kept using. i am currently using ego t batters on the vv setting as i was told to do at the store. but still not working good at all. i also tried using different atty's single coil and double and nothing seems to be working. the evod bbc's i am using are hitting like a mack truck so the protank has been put in a drawer. am i doing something wrong? do i need a better battery?
I also posted this in the "ask a veteran" section but only had one reply so I thought I would give it a try here as well

please help

thanks

I'm not sure what the problem is. You didn't tell us what resistance your atomizer is and what's the voltage setting you're using. They may be mismatched. THe ProTank 3 is a dual coil model so it requires a bit more voltage than a single coil atty. Other than that, your PT3 is not much different from your eVod--just larger, so if you know how to use the eVod, you shouldn't have problems with the PT3.

So, check the voltage and the resistance, make sure your battery is supplying enough voltage (you should be around or above 4v, depending on the resistance). Make sure that all the components are screwed tightly together inside, do not over tighten the tank onto the battery. You may also try to add an airflow controller to make your PT3 wick better.

Hi thanks for getting back to me sorry I didn't give all proper info. I'm using the dual coils that came with the tank they are 2.0 ohms and I'm using my ego t upgrade batteries on the unregulated mode which I think goes from 3.2-4.4 volts (not 100% sure that's exact but close) and now this morning I have it another try and I'm getting nothing from it.

Is it even firing? Use a small screwdriver (or similar) and wiggle the centre post in the tank 510 connection out slightly, if out too far slightly it will find it owns position as you screw it down on the ego battery..... Just a small movement can make a big difference!

Vaping since Jan 2014...... Australia.

It was firing last night but not that well and today it quit I figured it was atty so changed it. It's working slightly better than the fist one but not a whole hell of a lot...I think I may be a victim of my first $h!ty batch of kanger atomizers will look into possibly rebuilding them. Any suggestions as what size kanthal to use and any othe tips for first time rebuilds would be appreciated as well

Also, please remember that a 2Ω dual-coil atty consists of two 4Ω coils; even though it produces more vapor due to increased surface area, you're vaping at 3.5 watts per coil (with your 3.7v battery). That may be another reason you're no satisfied.

Also, are you sure your coils are genuine Kanger coils? i've seen a lot complaits about counterfeit Kanger products. If your coils came with a security code, go to the Kanger website and run that code through. You may have gotten a fake.
