Ladies,

In a couple of hours, I must leave work and return home to my lovely wife.
Normally, this is a joyous part of my day; however today she's a bit miffed at me.

It seems that 5 packages all came in the mail today. I really must learn to space out my ordering better. Frankly at this point I'm not even sure what a couple of them are.

So what would be an appropriate gift to bring home to her? Chocolates? Flowers? Sleepwear? (the comfy kind, not the kind I would appreciate more then her) Earrings?

Well I agree-make sure she is not cooking dinner. Take her out to dinner. Her favorite restaraunt. As much as I love gifts it may be sort of a bribe. Especially bringing it home tonight. Maybe over dinner talk about going on a weekend get away. Doesn't have to be expensive just a nice get away alone. I think any other nice jestures, flowers, jewelry etc. would be a nice surprise for another day but don't make it like an even swap. It will take the romance out of it.

And she is already in the middle of preparing a ham, so taking her to dinner isn't an option tonight.

oh snap.... well...all of the above should suffice.

and... make sure you don't open any of those packages until she is well pampered for the evening. She gets all attention first. I know it will be hard but you can do it. :D

Tell her the packages are saving my life. If I do not get my stuff, I will smoke analogs.
Tell her I have to stock up right now Tell her about the FDA scare. Buying a gift is nice and all. Honestly is better. Tell her we will save money in the long run. No more analogs and the e-cigs will help me quit. Promise her this will get better. Like having to spend alot in the begining and later will save alot. buy one gift for her and tell her you love her.

Just simply tell her you are investing in your future health! Will be no problem. I take it she does not smoke? Perhaps she could do as I often do, if he can spend money so can I, and find SOMETHING to buy, even if I don't need it. Payback can be painful, so make a little deal, maybe you could think of something (bearing in mind she is miffed so go easy)

I dunno folks, if my hubby did something wrong and went to all this trouble to make it right, I might be even more ticked off that he only does those nice things when he's in trouble!
Catch 22 here I'm afraid.

In all fairness, I do try to do nice things for her on a regular basis anyway.
I took her to her favorite restaurant Thursday. Bought her a cute nightgown Saturday. And she owns more gold and silver jewelry then a small pawnshop.

I'm not a bad guy, just a little obsessed at the moment. :)

If you ever speak with my husband, he'll tell you he's been living a Catch 22 life for 19 years. :D

According to him... He just can't win.... I jest. We both probably spend a little more than we should. When we get on each other about spending it's playful banter.

I sure hope it's the same with Skad and his wife.
