Need some advice, still very new to all this.

Hi, i hope someone can help me out.

About 3 years ago, i stopped smoking analog cigs and moved to electronic, using Blu Cigs, it cost me about $65 for a starter kit. By far, the worst thing i have ever bought. Ever.
I was having to charge batteries every 30 minutes, buy 5 new cartridges for $10 every 6-7 days, and send back packs and batteries that would cut out, or stop holding charge, usually within a week or 2 of just receiving replacements. I stuck with it for a year and a half, trying to convince myself that it was all worth it.

Since January, I had been completely cig free an any way, but I still have urges to smoke, I have even gone to therapy about it, but it just didn't help. It was a huge pain i never want to go through again.

A cousin of mine had told me the problem was that i was using automatic batteries with pre-filled cartridges that were built faulty, and a really crappy brand at that.
He had shown me some manual batteries with a button on them that he used for his e cigs, but i have been unable to reach him as he lives in Tennessee and has a new number now.

My Question would be, if i were to get back into e-cigs, I would like to get a manual e-cig with a push button or some kind of manual switch to turn it on, but what kind should i get?
Is there a kit i can buy, or maybe some one can suggest a list of things i can buy to be all set. i have $250 to spend on getting this. It doesn't have to be pretty, but i would prefer a cylindrical shape so that it can fit in my glasses case.

I'm just tired of every day feeling like I'm going to break down and start smoking again, and i know will be stupid and try to hide it from the wife. She will cut my face.

I would appreciate any help i could get, i have been trying to research the subject as much as i can and I'm getting nowhere and more frustrated with results leading to more automatic e-cigs that all look the exact same.

Thanks for your time, sorry if it is long, I'm just trying to give all the info i can.

I am super happy with my Kgo. It has a 1100mah battery and that is enough to last me 2 days. I bought mine at Virgin Vapers. Sorry I cant post a link for you as I am on a tablet. I think the whole start up kit was 45 bucks with a small sample of e liquid. The vape is strong and plentiful and virgin has some great flavors too.

Its by far the best I have had and more than enough to get your feet wet without fear of failure. One caveat - that big battery means a bigger unit and it does not look like a cig. That might put you off but dont let it. Its the big battery and larger cartridge that make the difference.

Welcome to ECF :) With your budget I am sure you can get well set up with a PV that is suitable for your situation. Are you looking for a small cigarette type of could you handle something the size of a sharpie marker? Are you currently nicotine free?

I use this at the moment KGO kit1100mAh by SLB

The batteries on this last all day. This is the size of a sharpie marker pen so maybe too big for you. I think its a little big for a glasses case.

If you are looking for something more cigarette size I would suggest you look at Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Electronic Cigarettes | Wholesale Electronic Cigarettes | E-Cigarette | Best Electronic Cigarette | Electronic Cigarette

They have everything in one place for you and are very well thought of here on ECF.

I am sure someone is also going to suggest you get a Twist battery this is about the same size as the KGO set above but has the advantage that you can change the voltage to make your experience better with whatever you use on it.

Please let us know your thoughts, you have taken a great step coming here I am sure we can help you get sorted :)

Just one quick note.... by all means don't start smoking analogs once you have quit them!!! Your wife cutting your face would be the least of your problems. Thing is, about six months after quitting, the cells in the lungs are starting to recover so they are fresh and young and much more gentle and fragile than usual. Think of cells of a baby to get a picture. Starting smoking back is a blank invitation to all the nasty things. It's much worse than if you never quit. Please, don't smoke again.

I should have stated earlier its a large glasses case. something smaller than a TV remote would be good, as that was about the size of the one my cousin owns. the eGO's and KGO's look to be the perfect size.

Also, not all that worried about my lungs all that much, I do like to run every so often, but my face is my money maker, my bread and butter, and i cant have her messing that up.

Looks like we have a winner with a KGO or EGO kit, I use these with my KGO EGO Vision clearomizers LR 2.1-2.4ohm

Some people like them, some hate them, but I find them easy to fill with liquid, so are easy to use. You can use many different juice delivery items on these batteries this is just one suggestion.

Would you be looking for liquid with nicotine in it or would you consider some without to begin with? If you are looking at something with nicotine in I would suggest a very low dose maybe 6mg at most as you have been smoke free for some time. I find I am most addicted to the action of vaping the hand to mouth and blowing vaper more than the nicotine content.

You could get all that you need from the site I posted, including some juice to try :)

Welcome to ECF, BWM
I too started with Blu. I didn't last with it as long as you did tho. Luckily I found ECFers who recommended the KGO!!!
Yay!! You are gonna love this baby!
Once it comes, ignore the battery instructions. Just put the battery in the charger. It will blink red&green. When it is solid green it is fully charged & it will last all day. Yes...all day on one battery.
Come back & let us know when it arrives in the mail.
Bullette says woof!

I have tried China's "E9", the cigarette looking PV, and it was so bad I wanted to quit.
Then I got me a 510 eGO Vision Starter kit ($60 in local store), and it was thing of a beauty.
Battery charge last day and a half, but I charge it every night, and there are two batteries in a kit, so I'm pretty cover there.
It comes with a caring case, so you don't have to look for reusing glasses case. Also comes with 4 clearomizers. Easy to fill, and, I found I need about two daily. So, when both batteries are charged, and all 4 clearomizers are filled (which takes about 30 sec to fill each), I'm good for 2 days, worry-free.
The day I got my eGo kit was the day I drop my analogs for good. I still have a pack with 6 cigarettes in it, but I'm keeping those for visitors, if anyone comes in and forget to bring theirs.
May I say I'm still very much new in this, and been smoke-free for only 12 days now, but I have absolutely no need or urge to burn another analog cigarette.
I was a pack-a-day smoker for 26 years. eGo changed my life for good.

My advice... don't go with ecigs that look like regular cigarettes. Those are not good.
I started with cigarette-looking device to make myself feel more comfortable with the switch, but very soon realized it was a mistake.
Its not the shape of the ecig, it is the performance that made me switch.

Happy vaping!!!
