I am very new to vaping and it has been a information overload to say the least lol. My local shop has the vamo and evic and I like the size of the evic. I see people on here referring to SVD but I have no idea what that one is ? The vamo is way to big I think but the price from vaperbreak is great if it isn't a knock off.

Link to Innokin SVD

I'm sure you've already got some info but both the devices you mention are basically "the battery". They perform Variable Voltage (VV) which allows you to "crank up" the vape to suit what tastes good to you. There are many many guises, from cheap to expensive. Some IMHO are too big to carry out n about, like the Vamo. But you also get VV in a smaller form. Have a look at Vision Spinner or eGo Twist, these are fairly small but still do VV. The down side of these is when they wear out they need replaced. Some of the others take separate batteries which you can replace only the battery, not the whole device. It also allows you to have a battery on charge while using another etc. Ii have a few "batteries", both cheap and expensive, and still use my Spinner and Twist out n about, purely cos of size and portability.

Edit cos of typo

Thanks...I failed to mention I have a ego twist with a vivi nova. I want a little bit more lol. That's how it is isn't it hah.
My problem is I just don't know what would be the best for me and where to buy that isn't a cheap knock off. Of course I want a good price but you always get what you pay for that's for sure.

I have a Tesla Mod.....many don't like the looks or the fact that the buttons (+/-) are above the screen. Neither bothered me or the wife so got 2. Seen these as low as $70 but then you'll need batteries and a charger on top of that. I got a kit at ~$80 with discount code but charger sucked.

We love the mod and fits in the hand really nice and menu is super easy. Works great with ProTank too!! Not having a problem with carrying it around, slam in my back/front pocket and go. I think there is a Lanyard one could get too...looking into that or a simple flashlight belt clip for when I'm on my M/C.

All these are really similar and perform basically the same thing. Some have VW (variable wattage) some don't, some extend (telescope)...range from cheap to expensive. Just need to get a name brand from reputable site and enjoy!

I have an Evic and it is a very good device, but there are a couple of things I have found lacking.
Cons:
The 510 threads seem a little weak. My tanks have a little wobble room even with them screwed down fairly tight.
Next, it is a bit under-powered. 12 watts max, and with a 2.2 ohm atty it will only put out 11 watts, or 4.9 v

Pros:
It has a great menu system and display.
It is very easy to change power settings with the dial, no fumbling through the menu.
It is light compared to stainless steel mods.
It is a pass-through device with built in charging.

I recently purchased a Sigelei V3 Flat top as a backup device and have been using it over the Evic ever since.

Yes, the Provari is nice. I especially like the variable wattage (oh wait they don't have that), and the telscoping is cool so I can use different batteries (damn, Provari doesn't have that either). Well at $180, what should I expect.

Sigelei V5 ....

Well that's well put lol... I don't know much about changing the watts . I figured I would want a unit that does to save me future upgrade. I'm learning as mush as I can. Just a lot to take in.
Provavi for $180? Sounds like a twist but just bigger with the same options.

Go with the smoktech S.I.D it is around 50 for the unit and you can pick up x2 batteries and a charger for an additional $40 it is vv/vw from 3v-6v and 3w-15w for such a cheap product with all these options you can't go wrong and it has a removable top cap to allow for more tank fitting options and it works great with the kangertech protank-II with great air flow not to much but not to little just perfect

Dang so many options. Just not many that a around the size of a evic  .
Guess its time to just do some reading on all of those that have been mentioned in the thread.
I'm also wanting to get the protank2 I found them on fleabay for 17.99 with free shipping. Do I have to worry about knock offs with those? I'm skeptical on buying a mod on there for sure.
Edit*** I saw on fastech they are $15 and I see lots of people talking about them on here. So they sound like a good company.

Is the under power a deal breaker? I found a place that has it for 70$ on sale. Also what is pass-through?
I just don't want something big as a light saber .
How tall is the Sigelei V3 when it isn't extended all the way?
