I want to get a dual coil cartomizer and map tank, but want to make sure I can use them with an ego-t 1000 mah battery. Here is a pic and some info on the cart I am looking at.

[h=1]510 XL Dual Coil Cartomizers - Steel[/h]

510 XL Dual Coil Mega Cart 1.5 +-.2 ohm, in steel.This is a pack of 5. Punch these for the DCT MAP tank. Dual 3.2 ohm coils in parallel giving a total resistance of approximately 1.6 ohms. These produce great amounts of vapor due to the greater heating area of the dual coils but have less potential to burn due to the higher individual resistance of each coil. Keep them WET! They will burn if you run dry! These hold about 25 drops of e-liquid. New improved filler material is more absorbent. NOTE: Will not work with eGo, 510, 901 or mosfet driven type batteries. The Dual Coil should to be used with 3.7 volt mods with a switch capable of handling 2 or more amps. The Dual Coil work great on 5 and 6 volt devices. Your results may vary and the protection circuits on some batteries at higher voltages may see these as a short and not work.

It does not mention the ego=t batteries or are they the same as the ego as far as being mofset driven. Will these carts work with 2 trustfire protected 14500 batteries in series.

Todd, I can tell you after going through at least 700(bought 500 at one time) Smoktech dual coil stainless XL 1.6ohm cartoz that they are battery drainers, juice hogs and burn quite easily even in my Liquinator. I go through at least 10ml per day of Boba's Bounty and change cartoz 2-4 times within a 24 hour period. Have a Precious-LV2 variable voltage mod and run them between 4-4.2volts using 2 18350 batteries and the batteries barely last me 3ml worth. You could run these cartoz if you wanted to on a eGo 1000mAh battery but the vapor production and battery life would be terrible. I would recommend the Single coil Smoktechs or the stainless Boges for use with an eGo and a tank. Hope that helps you some.:)

This is what I just ordered from Nhaler. I wanted stainless steel and a smaller tank (2.5mm) so I looked around for a while and narrowed it down to two tanks, the aluminum liquinator or the VPX tank by Vaporflexion sold by Nhaler. I downloaded images of both of them and adjusted the images to be the same size and looked at their construction. I have heard a lot of good things about the liquinator, but the VPX by Vaporflexion looked to be better constructed. There is more space between the orings and the flanges of the caps, I figured this would mean for a tighter fit and a less wobbly tank. Just my fix on it; could be wrong.

1 510meglr-426 510 Boge Low Resistance Blank Cartomizers; 510 Blank LR Mega Cartos:Stainless Steel

Here is what I looked at as far as construction goes:

Todd, I hate to tell you this but that "more space" is not going to make any difference and in fact will only lessen the capacity of the tank. That space will not seal any better, the inner seal around the carto is the one that counts. Think about this carefully and you will realize what I am talking about. The liquid doesn't know if the area above and below the seal are there, doesn't make any difference on how large a space there is because if any liquid does get past the seal then it's going to leak regardless. The size of the seal is much more important while the spacing is irrelevant.

I am not promoting the Liquinator as just about all the tanks work the same. You could get a cheaper one that would work just as good if not better. Just trying to educate you about what qualities you should look for before getting a tanks. O ring seal and tank tube material are the most critical.

I understand that the orings and tubing is what provides the best seal. This looks almost exactly like the DCT Map tank in stainless, only it is a smaller, like I wanted. I believe this tank also has dual orings in the cap for a better seal, if it is constructed like the new delrin caps that vaporflexion have came out with. Yes it was a little more pricey than the liquinator or a few other brands, but it is stainless steel. The stainless DCT Map tank is about 10.00 more than this one. If Map would have had the smaller tank available with stainless steel caps, I might have gone with that one, but only the DCT 5ml tanks are offered in SS from Map, unless I did not understand the listings correctly. I'll give it a try and see how it goes and post what I think of it.

Good luck Todd, let me know how it all went after you get your stuff. :)

I will do a complete review of this tank once I get it. I'll take images of it broken down with my 100mm Canon Macro lens at 15.2 MP. It will show the workmanship down to scratches the size of .0001 mm as well as the fit between the cartomizer and the center hole caps. I will try to make a short video demonstrating whether or not it is easy to work with. If it a piece of crap I will make sure it is known; if it is quality I will make sure that is known as well. Vapor flexion's website boasts this as the last tank you will ever have to own, I hope they live up to the image they are putting out. One thing I wish they offered is a stainless steel tank option like the torpedo tank does. So look for a new thread "VPX Cartomator Cartomizer Brushed Stainless Steel Tank Review" in the cartomizer issues and review forum in the near future. I hope I made a good decision; 45.00 isn't a fortune but it is still money.
