Hi guys,
I have an aga t2 And ran out of wire except some 28 gauge. I currently only have a vamo v3 with a 18350 battery. I have mesh, 1mm silica and some cotton. Every time I use cotton it gives burnt taste so don't use it.

I am wondering what kind of built I can do to get my aga working. PleAse help cause I can't stand anything but my aga now that I have it.

for a Vamo: Fully oxidize your mesh and do a 4/5 or 5/6 wrap (with the leads wrapped around the contacts in the same direction). If the Vamo throws and error take the mesh and coil out (trying not to disturb the coil wrapped on the mesh), torch it (both mesh and wire together) and put it back in.

If you are familiar with micro coils you might also try that with the mesh.

Probably the easiest is just going to be warping a bunch of coils (like 5 or 6) on silica and feeding it in the wickhole, attaching the kanthal leads like you would with mesh.

Hey thanks Matty a couple more questions tho. I am slightly familiar with micro coils but haven't been able to get one working unless I do rip trippers cotton over mesh but then start getting burnt taste a couple hours in.

When wrapping a 5 or 6 wrap how far should I be spacing the wraps. I haven't tried silica in the Genny before but that seems like I might get sub ohm

Sorry, I was thinking of my DID (which has a 3.5mm wickhole). The RSST has a 3.25mm wickhole so for mesh assuming your wick is ~3mm dia you need 8 wraps of 28 guage which should put you at about 1.3 - 1.4 ohms. You want to wrap the leads around the contacts going the same direction so if you get a short (your Vamo errors "check atty" or "low ohms" ect.) you take the mesh and coil out without mangling the build, torch it (to get rid of the short) and put it back in.

For silica, it's hard to guess the number of wraps because the wick compresses. If you take a piece of 28g and mark a 3 inch section (with a sharpy or whatever) and wrap those 3" around the silica your coil will be greater than 1.3 ohms (regardless or how many folds of silica you use.). Then dry burn the sharpy off.

If you see that I'm online you can just PM me if you want.
