Need some help...

Needless to say, I am a newbie on the e-cig front. I am currently vaping on a black manual joye 510. I am having problems with my atty's though. The two I got with the kit only one of them produced vapor (the one that works, worked great) the vendor replaced the one that was broken. The new one he sent produces a minimal amount of vapor, but gets burning hot. I took off the cart to see what was going on and literally the attys was turning fire red when I pressed the button.

Any suggestions, can they be fixed. Weird thing is I also ordered the g/f one and one of her atomizers (from the kit) is not producing any vapor either. Is is the supplier or am I just completely doing something wrong?

Oh yeah, just to note, I have been vaping for a few weeks now, I keep the carts topped off constantly, never let them go dry. I also have a PCC so the batteries are always charged. Finally, the only real working atty I have is staring not to function as well either (the taste had gone bad as well, should I clean it?). Am I dong something wrong??

Ok.. doner frett... Yes, you can clean the atty without a problems. run some hot water in a glass bowl, let the atty soak for a few and then blow it out real good. Let it stand for a few hours to ensure it is fully dry.. then you are ready to go. While using it, you may want to start blowing it out with your mouth from the battery end and into a paper towel or something.. just to keep it in good condition.
As far as the atty turning red hot.. the element is suppose to get red hot.. It is best to fill your cart with 2 to 3 drops and drip 1 or 2 drops directly on the bridge inside your atty. This will help with the performance of your atty.

Dont panic the atomiser is supposed to glow red when you press the switch.

If it does not get hot you wont get any vapour.

It may just be a little dry and need time to break in .

Put a couple of drops of liquid in the atomiser put the cart on and vape as normal.

It can sometimes take quite a few hours to break an atomiser in.

I've found Crest Pro Mouthwash (plus) really helps break down the "goo" and even some of the caked on stuff (carbon).

Hot water rinse after a soak and dry overnight.

Yeah, that stuff works pretty well.

BTW sikktatt, if you press the button and see red coils you're doing a "dry burn." Not ready to vape - need liquid.

Thanks guys, dropping liquid in the atty seemed to have worked on the one that was burning hot. I thought that would flood it. What exactly is flooding the atty then?

Flooding the atty....

That is when too much liquid starts to build up - you may hear it start make a gurgling sound or it may just stop producing much or any vapour.

This often happens when you are vaping on a nearly spent battery - you think it is needing a top up and by the time you figure the battery needs changed you have drowned it.

You need to find the happy medium too much liquid it drowns - too little and you eventually will burn it out.

The longer you vape the easier it will become when to add liquid and how many times you need to vape before a top up is required.

The beauty of having a switch means at least you can test the atties and the battery easy.
Freshly charged battery and the atomiser should glow cherry red, if the atomiser does not glow it is either on its way out or the battery is kaput.

I only ever clean atomisers if they taste bad usually because I have tried a new liquid I dont like.
I soak in coke overnight - rinse well under the tap - blow the excess water out - leave at least 12 hrs standing on end to dry .
Drip 2-3drops liquid directly in to it - give it 5-10 mins to soak in - off you go .
If you feel it is not producing enough vapour - add another drop of liquid and try again.

I never try to clean the crud out of it, dry burning & boiling as far as I am concerned is too much hastle and for me regardless of what I have tried they stop being satisfying between 40ml and 60ml liquid vaped.

Yes, you can clean the atty without a problems. run some hot water in a glass bowl, let the atty soak for a few and then blow it out real good. Let it stand for a few hours to ensure it is fully dry.

In my experience, these things take a lot longer than a few hours to dry.

I think a lot of people who tried cleaning their atomizers, and think they killed them by cleaning them, simply didn't let them dry long enough. Many of those atomizers may well have worked fine the next day.

I let mine dry at least 24 hours before I try to use them again.
And if I need them right away I put them in the oven at 150 degrees for 20 minutes.
