So.I've tried blind squonking, and normal squonking. I think I'm very paranoid about dry hits/burning up my wick, that I possibly over squonk. The issue is have is that my well will get filled with juice and sometimes overflow onto my hand and the reo. Which is no bueno when I'm driving.. At home it's not such a big deal, just an annoyance. It this just easily remedied by me not squonking as much? Any hints/tips are greatly appreciated :p

oh, and im using different size O rings to position my rm2 where i like it on each of my reos. this is a consistent problem i have will well overly full :/

Are you using the RM2?

Check to make sure that your wick is not/can not blocking the juice hole in the RM2. The flooding you describe I had when I had wick that was blocking the hole. If you cannot redirect any tail you may have, cut it off. You can look in the atomizer while squonking to insure that the excess juice goes back down the hole.

I am running 6 RM2 on my REO's.

It is very rare to see any juice in the drip well of the metals or catch cup of the wood REO's.

If your cap on your bottle is adjusted right the extra juice from squonking should be pulled down and into the bottle.

Remove your drip tip and watch when you squonk. You just need enough juice to wet the wick. It should not "fill-up" the body of the RM2 and drain out the air hole.

Watch the juice when you stop squonking. Is it sitting there? OR does it drain down the hole and out?

I haven't cut the tubes at all, but it seems to be taking the juice up with no issue there.
I always give a few test squonks when i put a new wick in to make sure the juice can flow back down, and it appears that it does. I don't seem to have enough room on the left hand side for a longer wick tail so I've been keeping them on the short side.

After you squonk is the juice appearing in your drip well?

it's not happening like right away, it comes more like 1-2 ml's through the bottle. so maybe im just over squonking?

Even when I squonk way too much juice into the RM2 it all goes back into the bottle. I just sat here and filled the RM2 with juice. It all went back down in the bottle. Not in the catch cup.

Make sure your RM2 is not too loose. Make sure the bottle cap is on firm.

I sqounk every other hit and have never over sqounked the juice just goes back home wen not enough room

hmmm... i try to make the rm2's tight, but not SUPER tight. maybe i should raise my coils a little more but i feel like they are highish enough as is. i assume the juice is coming from like underneath, so maybe it isn't going back into the bottle correctly. ><

The RM2 should be firmly tightened. Not cranked on really hard.

Your bottle cap should be tight enough to cut off any air from flowing in through the threads. This will keep the suction in the bottle and draw the juice back down.

Have you squonked with the door off? I have done that a couple of times and watched the juice go out when I squeeze the bottle and flow back in when I release it. The idea that you do not have problem with drainage until the bottle is 1/2 full or less indicates to me that you need to trim the bottom of your tube.

I would suggest that you watch what happens when you squonk. Watch both from the top of the atty and from the bottle (door off). As far as air bubbles in the tube, that is fine.
