the bottles are too damn hard to squeeze. or something needs to be adjusted so I don't feel the requirement to put so much pressure. the timing is also something I'm trying to work out.

I'm pretty good with the Mini 2.1 and OG if using a shorty carto- can drive and squonk and vape no problem, usually don't even think about it- the vape gets low and I know it's time to give some more juice. hard press on the bottle.. but I know when to do it and it's not a thing.

the Grand is big to me.. smaller than the MVP, yes, but somehow larger- and using left handed (cuz my phone is in my right), having a hard time getting a comfortable handle on her. only been using the RM2 on the Grand..

and the RM2 is a completely different beast. burnt cotton hurts, and I get a good dose a few times a night! usually end up taking the top off to make sure the wick is actually getting wet, and it takes a primer pump and then one or two forceable pushes to get juice into the RM2, and it's no wonder I'm getting dry hits.

am I the only one? is there something wrong with me? LOL I want to make the Grand and RM2 work!!

what can I do different? are there softer bottles?

Put the bottles in boiling water for about 10 minutes. They should soften right up.

Make sure the tubing is not getting stuck to the bottom of the bottle. Clip it some if it is. A inverted V works well.

You should not have to push really hard to move the juice up.

Check on the tightness of the cap on the bottle. Too loose can let air escape and you will have to squonk harder.

will definitely boil the bottles!

one of the first things I did upon their arrival was cut slits in the tubing- been lurking for a while..

I was under the impression it should be an easy amount of pressure. LOL I already made the mistake of not screwing a bottle on tight enough.. and I've also screwed it on too tight- the 6ml bottles and o-rings can be a pain to keep straight.

I had similar problems with the squonking first day, but being too hard wasn't my problem, it was that I over tightened the cap on the bottle, causing air to bypass the threads on the cap, which then didn't let me get juice to the rm2 when I would squonk.

Once I had the cap tightened properly (not too tight or lose, but jjjjjuuuuussssttttt right), squonking the bottle became much easier, because I didn't have to try to put my thumb through the back of my REO to get freshly squozen juice flowing.

^^^^^^this!!

I'll definitely try messing with bottle tightness.

I do not have my RM2's yet so this is a question.

Can you gently draw on the tip as you squonk and feel any resistance or does the side airflow prevent this from happening?

In my 2 days of experience, the side airflow would need to be blocked by a finger. I did try the draw technique, but found out in half a second that it wouldn't work for the RM2 because the air hole in the side just allowed air, so no pressure to draw with an unpowered pull.

Yes, I tend to gorilla torque things by hand, so I have to be very mindful of how much I'm tightening the cap.

Yes, I'm a maintainer, and I have a calibrated torquing elbow! LOL

My calibrated elbow expired a few years ago....but I used to have a sever problem. It was not tight until something stripped or broke.

Crew Chief all the way.

Yup, Channel locks on cannon plugs (none of that sissy soft jaw crap for me), and I'll be day-um'd if anything is gonna leak on ME.

I'm a jet troop, honorary crew chief by way of being inducted as a DCC once LOL.

I'm a newbie also but when I change juice and wick and completely empty the bottle and flush the tube, this is what i do. I fill the bottle and attach it. And then I wet the wick by dripping. Then I drop a some juice at the ceramic while I'm squonking. My thinking, juice goes back in the tube while it pushes the air out. Now, a slight squonk and juice is already coming out of the RM2. Again, this is just based on my very limited experience.

Handy idea about getting initial bubbles out of the tube when filling!

The twist on bottle caps are a pain... Which is why I don't use them. Take the insert tip for your bottle that came with them, lop the top off JUST enough to squeeze the tubing through, disconnect the tube from the nipple... And... Look. I'm not going to start THIS again. Lol here's a link to the highly raunchy but informative thread lol

At first I was pressing to hard, for to short a time. On a full bottle of 100% VG a medium press for a good 3 count is about right and on half a bottle a 5 count is needed, if using thinner juice a shorter press would suffice. Pull the drip tip put medium pressure on the bottle and watch while you count, you'll see the juice rise, stop when it wetting the wick and coil.
