Does anyone have suggestions as to what can be added to flavors that have ended up too floral?
I have a Virginia FA at 3% -it's not terrible but a bit too many Potpourri notes. maybe I've just over flavored?. or..??..could add...something to tone it down?? anything come to mind?

I know that I over flavored my flue cured TFA at 3% it is unbearable. but still I suspect even at .5% it's going to be heavy in the flowers. There must be something that complements these to make them tasty.

The experience of others would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I don't think 3% is that high of a percentage. It's just the way that the Virginia Flue Cured tastes. I don't mind it but it isn't my absolute favorite. I make it with a little tobacco absolute, some caramel and some ethyl malto.

After it steeps, I like to add some raisin.

Recently I added blueberry to some and strawberry to some. Strawberry I liked but blueberry, I didn't. A month of steeping is plenty of time so that isn't the problem.

Just try using ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) at one drop per 3ml of joose. If it works, pass da word. If not, nothing lost!

Seriously :) ACV....That would be too cool ! I'll try that tonight, have some in the cupboard.

The other mixes sound good as well. I don't have Bavarian cream and looks like Wizard is out of stock at the moment... I do have Tobacco absolute, some caramel but no ethyl malto...

pomegranate or raisin are interesting suggestions.

I've been waiting for Wizard to have more flavors in stock to get a consolidated order but suspect when the few I've been waiting for are in, the others will be out..

Thanks for the suggestions.

Flowery and peppery are the biggest complaints I have with tobacco flavors. Aging does help some, but generally if a favor is too flowery for my tastes I just look for something else. FA Virginia is not one I have found to be flowery, but TFA Flue Cured is definitely very floral. Also, just a trace of a floral tobacco that is not suitable for a primary flavor can sometimes add a little nice complexity, but TFA FC for example I would never use again as a primary.

I've found letting it aerate seems to help. Otherwise, especially with tobaccos, steeping cuts that down as well. For me, for example. 555 DK tobacco is extremely floral and overly unpleasant to me initially... but after a long steeping, I like it. (we're talking like a month)
I haven't found a tobacco yet that I don't like. It just requires steeping and the right percentages.

You can substitute Cotton Candy Flavoring for EM.
