I’m looking to try an rda for the first time. Been using RTAs with mixed results and wanted to try something different. I’m looking for mostly flavor and would probably buy a clone since they are cheaper and in general comparable to authentic. Need flavor and fairly/pretty easy to build and wick one that isn’t so finicky that doing the coil wrong won’t possibly effect the flavor as other RDAs(if possible). Also believe I’m looking for a single coil one and can also accommodate good sized builds if I want to

Second suggestion I’m looking for is possibly a good squonk atty that is fairly cheap to use with recommend rda

I would say for ease, the Mason line by Vapergate. They have anything from a 24mm up to a 40mm (I have 3 all together, a 27mm and two 40mm). They are velocity styled deck, easy to build on and wick and great on flavor for a RDA! I was surprised at the flavor. Yosh just put everything on sale too! I think he has squonking pins available or he is going be carrying them soon. I heard through the grapevine a little while back. I'm not a squonker so I wouldn't have any idea. Sorry bout that.

FYI his website is vapergate.com.

hi mate,
Practice with what you have now.
If you have not mastered coiling and wicking, the device you have is not the issue.
As suggested previously, use a single wire, single coil build of 26awg or 28awg.

FYI: "a squonk atty" is just a RDA that you "pump" juice up into from the bottom versus dripping from the top. (it will require a mod that squonks.) Google "Eleaf Pico Squeeze kit" mentioned by @Tonee N

Cheers

Yea I have figured out more on how to build on this rta but I’ve heard that rda is easier and tends to taste better, I’m after the flavor [emoji3]

"Mixed results" and "finicky" kinda tell a different story.
A "wrong" coil is wrong. It will taste bad in every device. RDAs/RDTAs/squonkers, etc. are not magical.
Practice, practice, practice.

If you wa
The Goon, Rabies and the Kennedy 24 are very nice RDAs for flavour, although I'd recommend the Goon for first timers, because it's not so easy to overdrip as the other two.
Good clones from each can be purchased for around 8$ on FastTech.
An Apocalypse is a much better RDA than the Goon in my opinion.

It’s not the coil that tends to give me issue. If I do it’s more of the wicking if something goes wrong, though with the one I have I’m starting to think it’s vapor tongue. Been vaping this one flavor for a while now hah

A word about flavor:
re: Resistance is futile. Ohms are not king. Wattage is. • r/electronic_cigarette
Magma is the grand daddy of RDA flavor generators for me.
Might like to read:

Would stay away from the other versions (reborn and tank types).
Something along the lines of:

A squonking atty that is available to the masses, I don't know about cheap but worth every penny is the Hadaly. I'm sure they are clones out there. Everyone makes claims of their products being the best, the Hadaly delivers.

This.

The Hadaly is one of the easiest single-coil squonking attys to build, and flavor is great. The authentic version is around $70, but you can get a very good quality SXK clone for under 15 bucks if you don't mind waiting for it to ship from China via Fast Tech or 3fvape.

It seems like the Hadaly checks all of your boxes. Solid recommendation.
