I want advice on what type tank to buy.

A bit of background – I have been vaping for over 3 years. I have not followed “new” developments for well over a year, since I had found what I liked – and I am very lazy and cheap and don’t like change.

What I like is ego passthroughs with 1.8 duel coil cartomizers and 30mg/ml unflavored e-liquid.

But, the last time I bought cartomizers – they had these 6ml dual coil ones for 50% off, and so I bought some just to try them. I loved them – until I got to my last one and after filling it, found out it was a dud.

These things are normally $5 a piece, and I just can’t see spending that much for a carto – especially if when it turns out to be a dud, I have lost 6ml of liquid too.

But, I really liked going all day without refilling, so I am starting to look at tanks – but I rarely read ecf anymore and have not been following product development. So I am asking for recommendations for a tank. What is important to me is that it fits on an ego passthrough, gives approximately the same vape as a 1.8 dual coil carto, and is cheap and very easy to use. I would prefer not to have to use a syringe to refill.

Any recommendations?

For an eGo battery, I'd go with one of the slimmer tanks for aesthetic purposes. If you don't mind if your device looks top heavy, a tank with larger capacity would do, too. I'll recommend what I feel are inexpensive yet quality tanks. All of the tanks that I recommend always use either pyrex or polypropylene for the tubes, as these are superior materials and safe to use with all e-liquids.

There's the Smoktech DCT in 3.5ml capacity size if you would want to go with a polypropylene tube with metal endcaps. $25 for a kit that has the tube, caps, drip tip, and 5 empty and punched cartomizers in the resistance you choose.

Or, if you'd prefer pyrex glass for the tube, I'd go with an OCD tank from IB Tanked. A slim tube with acrylic caps start at $19. $24 for one with stainless steel caps.

I go into more details, including pics and where to purchase these, in this link: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...858-silver-bullet-help-plz-2.html#post7471028

I also highly recommend getting the tank accessory tool called a Slap-Yo-Momma from Big Daddy Vapor. Makes filling and assembling a carto tank so much easier, and also protects your tanks o-rings from damage. It's the best device I've bought since I began vaping, other than my Provari. There are several helpful videos in the second link below that show the S-Y-M tool, how to fill and assemble a carto tank, etc. Please watch.

I recently made the switch from dual coils to the single coils cartos and find that I prefer them. Same vapor production and flavor, but less drain on the battery. You may want to try them. I get mine from the below link. These come pre-punched with your choice of number of holes punched and ohms.

If you don't want to mess with cartomizers, there are alternatives like the Vivi Nova tanks and it's clones. Instead of polyfill to wick e-juice to the heating coils, it uses polyfill string wicks. These tanks have a screw off top for easy filling. Many users love these, me, meh :glare:. Many of my flavors seem muted in the Smoktech Titans that I have. Price is around $13.

Thank you so much for your advice - after reading the above and the other post you linked to - I ordered the Smoketech 510 Pro DCTank Combo from Myvaporstore with both single and dual coil cartoz. I have been vaping dual coil cartozs for the last year - but that was mostly because they were less prone to filler burn - but I understand with tanks that is less likely anyway.

I put off buying the "Delrin Slap Yo' Mama Multi-Purpose Adapter " mainly because I could not see a lot of advantage. But that may just be because the video I watched the guy reviewing was very clumsly with it. I will see how it goes.

Again, thank you. I know people get put off with answering the same stupid queries over and over again, but after being away from ECF for awhile, the amount of post are just overwhelming, so I really appreciate you taking the time to answer mine.
