SmokTech 510 Universal Dual Coil 5mL PP Tank

I could not find any mention of the SmokTech 510 Universal Dual Coil 5mL PP Tank here at ECF but this is a nice tank. I purchased mine at ECBlend.com. I thought I would do a short review.

The picture does not show it well but this tank is a very pretty chrome at the top and the bottom. These are advertized to be 6ml tanks. However, ECBlend says that the tank holds 5ml while the cartomizer holds the other 1ml of e-fluid. The comes with a 1.5 ohm dual coil cartomizer with 510 connection so it fits the eGo style battery nicely. It has a unique (I think) way of locking the cartomizer in place. The bottom of the tank screws off and the Smok Tech cartomizer is "keyed" to fit in the bottom of the tank and the screw on end hold the cartomizer in place. The cartomizer will not come loose and slip out of the tank. The picture below shows the cartomizer pulled out slightly to see the key. The picture below that shows the cartomizer fully inserted. The 3rd picture shows the tank with the bottom screwed into place. The screw on piece of the tank holds the cartomizer keeping the carto from pulling out.

The cartomizer that comes with the tank is a dual coil 1.5 ohm carto. The dual coils make lots of vapor but do take a lot of amps. Batteries will lose power about twice as fast as they will with single coile cartos. ECBlend offers the dual coil Smok Tech cartos that have 2 holes in 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0 ohm configurations. All are keyed to fit the Smok Tech tank perfectly.

Smok Tech also offers single coil cartos. I have replaced the stock carto with a SmokTECH 510 2ohm DCT Single Coil Cartomizer. It works very well, fits perfectly in the Smok Tech tank, and lasts about twice as long on the same battery.

I purchased the single coil cartomizer at LiteCigUSA.net. LiteCigUSA offers:

Dual Coil 1.5 ohm
Dual Coil 2.0 ohm
Single Coil 2.0 ohm, and
Single Coil 3.0 ohm

All of these are made by Smok Tech and are keyed to fit the Smok Tech tank.

I think the tank looks nice on the 900mAh eGo style battery. It is shown below with the SmokTech - eGo Chrome Cone Adapter for 3.5mL Tank. the adapter just covers up the threads on the battery and makes a nice looking transition to the tank.

In all, I am very impressed with this tank. They come in different colors but I like this smokey color that I purchased.

I can also add that I have made multiple purchases at both ECBlend and LiteCigUSA. Both of these places have great prices, great customer service, and fast shipment at good shipping prices. I recommend either as reputable stores.

There are a few threads about it, probably didn't see them as people here generally call it the U-DCT, Ultimate DCT, or the Artemas tank (made up vendor name I'm pretty sure...)

I absolutely love the locking feature! Never seen one with a tube section anything other than clear, looks pretty nice. My only issue is that they don't come in standard length so I can use shorter cartos in them. And they use some sort of adhesive to attach the endcaps to the tube section, which may not matter at all but it's been making me paranoid lately and I haven't been using them. Which is really a shame because I've got like $100 invested in a bunch of U-DCT tanks or different sizes and colors (gunmetal and silver, slim and large size) and I really miss the locking feature.

They also make a slim version that will match the same diameter as your eGo, and features the exact same design and materials, just skinny. Doesn't hold much though.

Just received mine today. love the look (wish I got the thread cover to cuz it looks a bit funky). The taste is ok, may be just because of the ....ty juice that came with my mega eGo kit (getting mt. Baker vapor butterscotch hazelnut coffee so I'm excited!) and the vapor production is alright, may be because my battery is only 3.7v I believe, I'm not sure if that would effect that though. All in all, I do love it though!

If you're using the stock 1.5ohm dual coil carto, and only running it at regular eGo voltages, then you aren't going to get really great performance. You should throw a 1.5-2.0 ohm single coil carto in there, you'll get a lot more performance out of it that way.
