Need to switch from Blu to something bigger, that won't spoil as fast. Help?

I use both the regular 78mm volts and the X2 with the Smokeless Image cartos...just refill the cartos. No tanks, clearos yada yada...been there done that. I fill 5 cartos most nights, which last me the whole next day...about 3-4 hours per carto. The cartos last a week or two and then I replace them...I do try to clean them with everclear, but they are usually not as good after cleaning. That's my routine, the simpler the better. For me it's not a hobby, just a substitute for smoking.

What about something like this? This seems painless and easy: eGo CE4 Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit

I just drip the liquid in.

Duck, that is a good starting point. What you have there is a standard eGo battery the charger (ego chargers are diferent thatn the standard chargers) and a clearlomizer (fancy name for a tank like thingy that you drip the juice into). The only thing you need is a couple of juices to start going, and it will be waaaaayyyyyy cheaper than the blu cartos.
I also come from the blus and have a similar setup, but with 2 batteries and the rebuild able clearomizers AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | Vision Clearomizer - AltSmoke.
Anyway for a couple more bucks I will recomend going for an eGo Twist AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | AltSmoke.com | eGo-C Twist Battery since you will want one soon enough. In my case I have my eGo Twist in the mail and it have not been 1 month that I'm vaping from my current egos

I also used the Blus for 7 months before upgrading a few months ago. I bought an Ego battery and used leftover Blu cartridges on them. The first 5-10 minutes, they would taste even better than on the Blu battery, but they tasted burnt pretty quickly. I tore one of the Blu cartridges apart and found the filler to be dry and burnt. I don't think there is much juice in there to begin with. I have refilled the Blu cartridges with ejuice (you can find videos on Youtube) and this will saturate the filler better so you can vape on one cartridge longer, but once you've burned the filler, there's no way to get that taste out.

If you do upgrade your battery, get an Ego Twist and a Vivi Nova tank, a lot less hassle. And when the wick and coil start to go bad, you can switch out the head for the same price as a Blu cartridge. If you maintain the Vivi Nova, you can easily get 2-4 weeks on a single head (again, lots of youtube videos on how to clean and even rebuild the Vivi Nova).

If you want to keep your Blu's for backup ditching the expensive pre-filled Blu cartomizers will save you a lot of money. Search for "refill blu cartomizer" on YouTube for directions on how to re-fill the cartomizers you already have.

I went from cig-alikes such as the Blu to variable voltage Twists/Vivi Novas within a week and couldn't be happier that I decided to go with variable voltage. That combo produces a markedly significant better vaping experience and I've discovered that even some very small tweaks in voltage can make the difference in a few juices between icky and wonderful.

Having variable voltage means you don't have to do endless homework about ohms and resistance. Just turn the Twist down low, pop on a Vivi Nova filled with juice and then dial up to taste. If the voltage is too low you won't get vapor, if it is too high the juice will taste burnt. Lower voltage improves taste and higher voltage produces a bit warmer vape with more throat hit. Just twist the dial to get what you prefer.

This video review for the Ego Twist will give you the general idea about how easy variable voltage is to use, The Ego Twist is a Game Changer - GrimmGreen.

This is a review of the Vivi Nova that will give you good idea of how well it performs, A PBusardo Review - Vivi Nova 2.5

The first part of this video will show you how to clean the Vivi Nova. I clean mine after two or three fills and it takes two or three minutes. Some people just replace the heads when the atomizers give out but the last part of the video will show you how to save some money by rebuilding the Vivi Nova wicks, A PBusardo Tutorial - Vivi Nova Cleaning & Rebuilding

To start you will need:
2 variable voltage batteries (Twists, KGOs or Vision Spinners)
1 USB charger
1 USB wall adapter
1 and preferably 2 Vivi Novas - version 2.5 or 3. (The larger size looks more like a scepter on the Twist class of batteries but hold more juice. The mini version looks sleeker but holds less juice.)
1 or 2 anodized aluminum tubes for the Vivi Novas (The Vivi Novas are more resistant to plastic unfriendly juices but someone has reported that cinnamon juice etched their Vivi Nova plastic tank and I got a note from EC Blend that their banana juice should not be used in plastic. I can't find any currently available for the mini size in the U.S. Vapor Kings and Got Vapes and probably some others have the regular size)
1 atomizer and drip tip for dripping to test juices

Sweet Vapes has a nice Twist Starter Kit that has most of what you need.

They will probably leak. Pick up a vivi nova (the mini one looks good on a ego) and a short cone adapter sleeve (purely for streamlining the unit-it hides the threads-not needed, but you will want it for looks). They are easy to fill and clean, and they don't leak. And they perform awesomely! Trust me-they rock. They also come with 3 different resistance heads, so you can try them all out. The replace heads are cheap, and they are hassle free-just screw a new one in, fill, and vape.

I have heard a lot of unhappy people complain about the blu kits. They are nice looking, but not cheap. It would be nice to have a cig alike for the times it is preferable to be unnoticed while you vape. People say good things about th e volt, and they have a simolar kit, I believe. A pcc and everything. I just worry that since I am used to the twists, they won't do it for me.
