I just got my first Vamo, but the hit is very weak and I'm getting very little plume. I'm using a 3.1 ohm atomizer. What should the settings be, both wattage and voltage for a good, strong hit with good plume? I've been playing around with it, but haven't gotten anywhere. Also, NO1 or NO2?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Do the watts matter?

Don't even mess with using N01 or VV. Set the Vamo to RMS mode N02 and use the variable watts. On a 3.1 ohm atty, set it for 8.0 - 8.5 watts. That would be in the 4.5 volts range for a 3.0 ohm atty. I am assuming your atty is in good shape and doesn't need replacing. VW will automatically adjust power to the atty to match your preferences as the resistence in the atty changes. VV does not provide that.

Brand-new atty that came with the Vamo (a C4). Sorry if I sound dumb, but just set it to N02 and 8-8.5 watts and that's it? Does the NO2 take care of the voltage? Is that what variable voltage means?

NO2 is the RMS (root mean square) setting, NO1 is mean or avg which you don't want to use (i wont get into that)

variable voltage means you can change the voltage, variable wattage means you can change the wattage.

so to keep it simple, use watts, adjust to your like in taste, typically 7.5-9 is the sweet spot for most people

Thanks. I tried the new settings and still nothing, so I cleaned out the atty, replaced it with a different juice and bam! Those setting work just great. Must just have been weak or bad juice. Big plume and flavor right now. Thanks so much.

As others have pointed out, just use the RMS/N02 mode and set the wattage to your preference. The voltage will adjust to your wattage setting (simplistic explanation). With VW unlike VV, if you change the atty/carto, etc or as the resistence in your atty changes due to use, VW automatically adjust the power to the atty to fit how you set it. With a 3.0 ohm atty, most people vape in the 7.5 - 8.5 watt range. With variable voltage YOU have to "vari" or change the setting as the resistence in the atty changes or you use a different atty. With VW, it does this for you.

Not all juices taste good at the same wattage... they may also vary in taste depending on the delivery device... so setting to VW may or may not do much for you, and then again it might. Once you start loading several carts/tanks, rbas, etc, and start swapping around, you'll find this out. Then again, it's all a learning experience, so just enjoy!

Vape on!
