I burned out my old wick on my vivi nova (Older version not sure of the exact version tho) i am relatively new to vaping however i have rebuilt a coil with a wick/coil i took out of another cartomizer so i know how the wiring goes, my question is am going to buy some wick/coil in bulk so i can rebuild another. Is there a specific sized wire/ brand or size wick that i should get for the vivi nova? the ohms is 2.4 i am using currently. Thanks for the help in advance!

Temco on ebay is a great place to get wire from - I use 32 A1 Kanthal. I also use 1mm and 2mm silica wick - the 1mm X 3 (gives you 6 wicks that go into the juice) works for me for the vivi nova. The 2mm silica I use for the pro-tank / EVODs I have.

I have yet to find a good supplier for wick though. I bought my last lot from my vapor store but it's kind of on the expensive side for the 10 feet lengths you get.

A multimeter is a must for testing the resistance of your new head before you use it - if you have a APV that shows the ohms of the head you can use that. Just be aware this isn't really something you should skip, the first few coils I built had issues - and if I had not had a way to check the resistance, I could have damaged my battery, or even damaged myself.

I bought my ecig kit from a tobacco shop near where i live, then i started browsing around on the net and found better kits for alot cheaper >.< But i have bought a few different ones from gotvapes.com and they have 3.5 feet of wicks and 7 feet of different wires. What is a multimeter used for?

Gotvapes is alright but kinda pricey in my opinion. I 2nd the temco wire...100ft for about $10. For wick, I buy from COV. I want to help more but I went to RBA's long ago and was never in the vivi game...

Thanks for the tip, I checked, but that's kind of what I was talking about $1 a foot seems expensive to me. I currently get mine from my vapor store, it's $3.50 for 5 feet, which again, seems expensive.

Maybe it's the going rate, I found suppliers that will sell 21 feet for about $13 on Amazon and others on ebay, but I am scared to buy from them as I am not sure on the quality of the wick. This is something that I am inhaling / touching my juice and I want good quality as well as a good price.

Sorry for the semi-hijack OP, but I suppose it relevant to the conversation... just about.
