Well this isn't the suppliers' fault, it's Smokeyjoe's rule.
The rule would not have been implied if it where not for pressure from a certain group of users. a few suppliers have had negative or non flattering reviews and are not happy about it being in the public domain. They pay more to use this forum and it's advertising space so who's gonna get what they want more. free users or paying suppliers.

I may be completley wrong , damn i hope i am but that's my take on things.

Seeing as many of the suppliers are selling identical products the quality of service and price are the main things I'm interested in with a review. What's the point of this section otherwise? With this new policy the reviews become meaningless IMO. I'd have just as much confidence finding a supplier I'm happy with on the suppliers' listing thread. Why not just link reviews to there and be done with it?

I agree, it sounds like pressure from suppliers to me too. It's a real shame if it is.

I'm open minded, you could be right, there must be a motive. Actually come to think about it, I know why now hehe.

Well this isn't the suppliers' fault, it's Smokeyjoe's rule.

If there are only positive reviews, why should we believe them? Why haven't more suppliers spoken out about this in this thread (deuce is the only one at this point)? I know they are all reading it.

IMO any supplier that just stands by and watches while this happens deserves to lose customers. In that thread bashing that one female supplier (can't remember her name right now but it was about not mailing something over thanksgiving weekend) all of the end-users came out to defend that supplier. Because it was a bunch of crap!
This is a bunch of crap too, how come suppliers are not acknowledging that? Probably because they think it benefits them.

Well it doesn't benefit them because i'm not even looking at this forum let alone buying stuff from anyone that moderates it if we can't post bad reviews for bad service. This rule is crooked and i'm not posting or buying from here unless it's pulled back. I respect the rules of these forums but if i get a bad product i am posting a bad review.

SJ,
I've been thinking about this long and hard for the past day. Now it's your forum and you can do with it what you will, but I now think that it is in danger of being discredited by this rule.
I think I can understand why you have done it, but so far it seems to be self moderating quite well. The mods can easily delete posts/threads that are libellous and have done so in the past.
Spam advertising is quickly spotted.
Can I suggest you have a re-think of this?

This new rule sure does leave a bad taste in my mouth. It seems like this forum is going from the "e-cigarette-forum" to the "e-cigarette-selling-supplier-safe-from-all-criticism-forum".

I believe that if a member has a problem with a supplier they should first privately contact that supplier and try to work it out. If after that, the problem is not reasonably taken care of by that supplier, MEMBER POST AWAY! Suppliers do deserve a fair shake to rectfy a problem before posts are made though. That is only fair. But to tell me not to post anything negative about a supplier that has fallen short of a reasonably expected level of service is ridiculous. Fellow members should know the good and the bad to be able to make educated choices on who to deal with.

I think PeteMcArthur said it well:

SJ, please rethink this rule, because right now it says: "It's freedom of speech, as long as you don't say too much".

FYI: The reason why a supplier can't post on this thread is because its stationed in the ECig Review Section. Suppliers can no longer post in either the Noobie forum or ECig Review Forum ... Suppliers weren't restricted to only not posting in this thread alone.

For now, I am closing this thread until SJ and the rest of the mods have a chance to go over everyone's needs, expectations, and thoughts ...

Will keep in touch ... promise :)
