Hi, I think I will get a Nemesis clone. I have a few questions about the Nemesis though:1. When locked (or unlocked?) you can see the battery vent holes. When locked, you don't. I searched and found that the button has holes in it but I can't see them on either the original nor the clones (Google image searches). What is the deal there?2. How is the throw of the button? Do you have to press it hard or rather light?3. Is there actually a matte and a glossy finish out there? Some with brass/gold parts. Is one of them an updated version or just cosmetics?Thank you and vape on.

You can see the air holes when the Nemesis is locked. There are three channels in the threading on the switch that offer venting through the switch when the locking ring is in the unlocked position.

There are a few factors that determine the throw of the switch: the tube configuration, battery type, and the adjustable 510 pin all impact how far the switch screws in and hence the throw.

I've seen VW (mixed matte and polished), brass, and copper Nemesis clones.

(Edited for correctness)

Magnets do not establish switch throw, only tension and possibly fluidity. Magnets cannot bind like springs and can last much longer.
Switch through is determined by Pin heights, Tubes/ring used and Battery lengths.

If you check the cup of the switch itself, you can see on the inside there are three drilled channels, this allows for unlocked venting but thinking having them aimed at your face when they go off isn't funny o_O

Had mine a week, mixed bright brass and SS, apart from the self loosening trigger and the crunchiness on occasion of the button mechanism, its absolutely spot on and got to say when its been cleaned and polished up say with my polished KFL, it feels and looks just quality, I'm getting either the brass or copper version next although FT's PH22 with sandblasted gunmetal finish is looking mighty sexeh to me right now :)

Just got my Nemesis today and I'm loving the switch. It was crunchy at first but I disassembled the switch and used a pencil to scribble all over the shaft that slides through the brass ring. the graphite acts as dry lube and makes it easier for the parts slide without binding. Six hours after getting it and the switch is already smooth even if you only catch the edge with a short, light throw that won't fire when standing up unlocked. I do still want to get magnets though.
