So everyone talks about the nemesis clones, so I decided to order one online. I bought one off ebay from hcigar. The button constantly fell apart, had to be fixed, wobbled, jammed, you name it. One day it fell off my table onto the wooden floor and the press fitted threads broke off and I couldn't fix them.

So I figured, okay, I screwed up and broke it I'll order another one this time from 101vape, upgrade the button, whatever. So I get it, unscrew the button, screw it back in. Now, I can't unscrew the button. It's just stuck. It won't twist or turn out. It's just stuck. I didn't screw it in wrong or anything. It's just one problem after another with this thing. I don't want to give up on it yet, but has anyone had the issue of not being able to unscrew this button? Any tips? This button is killing me.

I have an hcigar Nemesis as well. I don't use it much anymore because the tiny threads on the tubes and constantly locking up to the point where I have to freeze the tubes to separate them. I even tried lubing the threads and got no improvement. As to the crunchy button, it's pretty well known to happen. More than anything I disliked that the top and bottom pins needed constant adjustment after opening it up. I much prefer floating pins and will never use manual ones again if I can help it.

Is the Copper version?...I own the SS verison , the only issue I had with HCigar Nemesis is the "crunch" when firing , but that is well known even with authentic Nemesis (they might have fixed it by now). I did upgrade to magnetic switch and Nolax the threads. I take mine apart all the time to clean it even the firing switch.

Put yours in freezer and try unscrewing it, you might have to get those rubber gloves to get a good grip to untwist.

Just be careful to not apply too much force inwardly on the tubes and threads. Since the Nemesis is so thin walled it is really easy to deform by squeezing it. I did this to the kick size extension ring and it took forever to reshape it. I thought about getting the magnetic upgrade but I figured why waste my money since I didn't like working with the mod for many other reasons. It now lives in its box with my vape supplies.

I've heard of clones of clones. That's why I was recommended a top seller on Ebays HCigar version, and then I did more research on the second one and heard on here that 101vapes HCigar version was good so I bought that as my second one. Both SS version.

How can you tell it's a fake HCigar or a clone of a clone?

I'm not going to lie to you, you can't....some people say you will get HCigar box, last etching, blah blah...you need vendor who will back you up...
As a kid, I use to work at the swampmeet...I would walk by the Sun glass stands, and I would see the workers pulling clone raybans out of box, put the UV sticker on them and then putting them in clone Ray Bay sleeves, etc..

but it's worries me that your switch is falling apart...1st try to get it fix...it's great learning experience...I fix my HCigar Chi you to fire the way I like it, I got my Fasttech Turtle v2 working nice, etc..I'm just noob like everybody else...we are here to help each other...that is how I feel...

The only Clone that didn't give me any trouble is the Polished Brass Stingray from Fasttech (Nemi clone IMHO),...it just works..

Yeah this switch IS better than the other one I had. It doesn't get jammed up or fall apart and need adjusting. Only issue I had with this one was I guess it getting stuck in the threads. Maybe I screwed it in too tight, crooked, or something...idunno...but the 101vapes had like like 100 five star reviews, and was recommended on this site. So I don't think it is a clone of a clone, and it did come in an HCigar box. But who knows.

I'll try freezing it and unscrewing it, hopefully it works.

A bit of thread anti seize on the switch sliding surfaces works wonders as does a bit of use and becoming familiar with the throw of the switch.

The contact in the switch can use a tiny dab of loctite blue 242, tiny dab, not a glob or coating. You certainly want to retain the adjustable aspect of the design, and just prevent unwanted movement.

The threads fit and finish can be improved with a close inspection and clean up with a wire brush followed by some polish and a good cleaning. Multiple assemblies and disassemblies will smooth things out too.

101vapes is very reputable....just try freezing it...or run it under warm water, dry the outer area...and twist like no tomorrow with good grip...I've been there...and done worse..i rip the aluminum threads on authentic mech that got stuck...I was almost in tears...

The threads, flimsiness, and firing button were all reasons why I transitioned to a much sturdier mod. I loved the Nemesis when it worked, but when it was stubborn I hated it. I like being able to load a battery and an atty and go. Not to much lock rings are rather pesky.
In any case it'll take just a few minutes in the freezer and maybe use one of those jar top helpers or rubber gloves for a good grip. If you squeeze too hard you will also contribute to making it harder since as you slightly deform the tube the threadings no longer match. So be firm but no kung-fu grip.

I clicked on this thread thinking I was going to read about a new Nemi variant called the Nightmare. . .

I read this thread thinking "What the heck are these people doing to their mods?"

Threads sticking? Or did someone not screw the pieces on straight and cross threaded them?

I was thinking they seem to think they need to be Torqued on when they don't. I have 3 HCigar Nemesis mods from various vendors in stainless, brass and copper. All are great, all setup using magnetic button changes and switch buttons kits from FatDaddyVapes. I also have a couple of the colored aluminum tubes and they work fine with them as well. I use them with a Kick2 sometimes and sometimes not depending on what I feel like vaping on a given day.

Random question. I have a nemesis, works great. Have a few different batteries. I occasionally use the kick.. a vw from fasttech. It works great with my 800 mah efest and my 2250 mah efest. Both 10 amp max output.

When I use my Sonys with 30 amp output, I notice that my protanks wicks and cartos burn up. This doesn't seem to happen with the efests.

Very confusing to me. My guess is it's just a crappy kick.

Anyone have a similar experience?

I was able to get it out.

Must be something with the threads, screwing it in and out it's really rough and messing up the threads no matter how I screw it in.

Sounds like you cross threaded it and screwed up the threads. You would probably have to run a tap through them to get them fixed again.

I've played with close to a dozen different Hcigar Nemesis clones now. I have yet to find one that I couldn't freely spin into place, but you do have to make sure the threads are line up right before you start turning. If there is any resistance at all then you should reset the button and trying again. If you continue to turn it despite resistance then you are damaging the threads.
