Even after sanding/polishing/buffing the button parts, I still don't like the button very much. Best button so far that I've tried is still the Paps button. I prefer a button inside a ring, as opposed to the whole bottom being a button.. makes the action a lot smoother.

There is hope for the china nemi switch. All three of mine are pleasing to use now and I'm a switch snob. The only thing I can't fix is excessive switch play. Polishing the post, shimming magnets and shimming for 0.5 mm to 1 mm throw really helps. On my loose wobbly switch I have magnets shimmed for firm actuation w/ a 0.5 mm throw and the wobble is ignorable. I don't notice the clicky edge press problems anymore; don't know if pinky is trained or switches broke in.

Just installed the magnets I ordered. They're very strong. Only 2 provides enough resistance that it will stand on the button without firing.

Unfortunately, it's even more crunchy now. I think I definitely need to shorten the button throw to improve this thing. What exactly do I have to do again? I forget... :)

Really? When I tried it would fire on 2. Well maybe cause ur using a rda cause the weight of my kayfun wouldnt hold with 2. Well if u shorten the throw your gonna need to use 3 cause the throw is well.. Shorters lol

I posted it here:

I actually found polishing the switch post/delrin/copper part helps with the crunchiness. I only had mother mag polish and no sandpaper but it was good enough!

Also you could also shorten the throw with this method http://www.reddit.com/r/electronic_...ix_for_the_nemesis_button_and_how_to_shorten/

I polished the inner brass and switch post + added lube. With a shorter throw its smooth. BUT if I hit it from the sides it has a crunch/rub sound. I think i realized that its the inside of the switch cover rubbing on the outside of the bottom tube part.

Yep, that's exactly what it is. Not a fan of this button design.. I might end up selling this thing. Not on here of course... oh no sirree.. that's forbidden.

Is your switch less crunchy when actuated by itself (not attached to tube)?
My loosest switch does not rub main tube.

Yeah it's smooth when it's not screwed in. It rubs against the body. I suppose I could try polishing the inside rim of the button and the lower section of the tube, though I'll lost the contrast between the polished lock ring and matte inner tube.

Hmm, actually.. I'm thinking it might improve if I carefully round the corners on the inside of the button with a dremel tool, then sand it smooth with 1500 (all I have atm) and buff it. Perhaps the softer/rounder edges won't catch like it does now. Worth a shot anyway.

I thought my switch was loosey goosey but it does not rub the tube. Your button must tilt like mad. I'd like to see a pic of your button tilt.

It's not loose and doesn't tilt at all. The button fits over the inner tube, so even a little bit of texture on the metals is going to cause noticeable friction.

I'll see tomorrow if my idea for a possible solution works. Will post the results.

Wish I had a dremel, so life would be easier lol. Maybe some kind of lube could work. It doesnt really bother me anymore since my throw is so short it doesnt really rub. But if I could fix it I would.

Before breaking out the dremel I would mark the rub suspect w/ sharpie then use the mod. The sharpie will tattle tell if it is rubbing so you will know where to dremel.

I have used axle grease, vaseline, light oil and VG to lube china nemesis switches. VG was worse because it got under batt shrink wrap. Axle grease was best for severe crunch but can cause voltage drop if use too much. I like to lube mod once per week with WD-40 or 3-IN-1 oil; wipe off excess. The light oil will become dark and cause voltage drop after about a week if switch is polished. Lube does not cause noticeable voltage drop if switch post is not polished. Lately my switches are doing good bone dry which it nice.

ive used dw-40 since its the only real kind of lube I have around the house and after a while the lube area turns dark. I polished my centerpost and inside brass with a green scotchbrite, does that mean im gonna be getting voltage drop? Dont have the voltage meter.

A little voltage drop isn't a big deal supra-ohm; may not even be blindfold test noticeable. Some first generation mods had horrible voltage drop and it was obvious; in the day I had good and bad vape days. Now, everyday is a good vape day. I just lubed and cleaned switches once a week but the last time I just cleaned switch till dry and it is doing good; maybe it broke in.
