I recently acquired a KGO kit with some EGO dual coils 1.5 ohm cartomizers. My first question is this: Is there a passthrough designed to fit the KGO so that I don't have to use up the battery when using the computer? Also, do passthroughs work by plugging into car outlet? I have been using the above-mentioned cartomizer and I really like them, however, they seem to be on the upper end of cartomizer prices and I have been able to find only two vendors that sell similar models, Hoosier and VapingZone. Do you know of any other vendors that carry these? If I use a cartomizer with higher ohms, will I loose the TH and flavor intensity?

I hope these questions are not too amateurish or naïve. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

A passthrough is a separate sevice (unless your Kgo has a socket for power on the bottom of the battery). There are other 510-threaded big-battery passthroughs. Some have an inline real battery and run at the voltage of the battery - they are just a battery that is charged while you are vaping it and they usually only need the same about of power as a battery charger for the same model so you can use those on a PC's USB (though I would not) or a standard 5v 500mA USB to AC including most card lighter to USB adapters. Try to find one with a 3.7v battery, not 3.4 v like Ego.

The OTHER kind of passthrough has no real battery (just a handle) and runs directly off power and usually is a 5v device. These need a lot more mA so you cannot run them off a PC and you need a strong USB to AC with 2amp (2000mA) output minimum and if you are going to run though 1.5ohm things then maybe you will need a 3amp (3000mA output).

Welcome to ECF! I would normally recommend this place: DiscountVapers - Your source for savings on electronic cigarettes and accessories, Go-go eGo, vGo for just about everything you're needing, but unfortunately he's out of stock on most all of it right now. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the KGO is a 510 threaded PV, and he stocks a nice looking USB-powered variable voltage passthru for about $19, and Boge LR carto 5-pks for $4.99 but out of stock on all of that. The Chinese New Year celebration has held up shipment on pretty much everything from Chinese suppliers, and these small vendors weren't able to build enough stock to see them through. The cartos you're using probably hold more juice than the Boge, and vape differently being duel coil, so you might want to check out SmokTech XXL DC cartos... I think they're 1.5, possibly 1.7 ohm, can't remember, but they're nice on my E-Power. Happy Vaping!:vapor:
