Any help is apreciated!!

My nephew found out the day he left that he could only take 50 cigs into Australia. So now he's paying $20! a pack for cigs? We're from a low tax state. $5 per pack is what he's used to.

Can he get cigs at a lower price? Is there a retail store where he could pick up a ecig to help him out?
Thanks, All I know is, his mother said he was in "china Town" at a hostel. I assume downtown Sydney.

Unfortunately, the answer is no for both your questions. Cigarettes are horrifically expensive here. There is a bit of a black market, but I know about it from reports not from personal experience. For e-cigs, nicotine liquids cannot be by law sold in Australia, they can only be imported for personal use. If your nephew is staying for a long time I would recommend importing some. You will find plenty of sources on this forum. Any other e-cig supplies can be bought in Australia, but mostly through Internet ordering.

Thanks for the info, I guess he's out of luck.
