Or if you'd like to know where to buy the tobacco, well, you can buy it anywhere tobacco is sold. But most would recommend PipesAndCigars.com - Pipe Tobacco, New Pipes, Estate Pipes, Cigars - PipesandCigars.com. As far as what is sweeter or more bitter (or whatever), it will always depend on what is being extracted vs. what is being compare with. No rules as to what tastes like what except that one is from the source and the other is an attempt to make a combination of elements taste like tobacco.

Whether it is sweeter or not will depend on the tobacco you extract. I'll tell you though, your first extract will probably smell like sweaty socks, but I got over it.
What I've been doing lately is going back to commercial tobaccos. There are some very good ones out there, but I'm a lazy DIYer, and started extracting because of all the NET talk going around. To tell you the truth I've ended up tossing most of my NETS. I kept 4 of them 'cause they taste too good to toss
These are:
American Spirit Natural(from the rolling tobacco, not the cigarettes)
Dunhill 965 pipe tobacco
Mclellands Syrian Balkan Supreme pipe tobacco
Peter Stokkebye's Golden Leopard pipe tobacco
Everything else was redundant, and had equivalents in the commercial flavors department.
But that's just me, and I'll be learning this stuff until I croak.

Sweaty socks? I've had that retail liquid more than a few times. Natural Perique, anyone? Nick78, I kid, I kid.

Can't you guys find a better way of describing a flavor other than sweaty socks? It's disgusting......

Back in the day when I was a server, certain Saugvion Blancs were supposed to be described to the customer as smelling like cat pee. Personally I'd take sweaty socks NET over cat pee wine. LOL.
