I have a guy at work who was complaining he was having health issues because of tobacco smoking and i felt sorry for the dude and hooked him up with FT.he started off with ego style and he did great. He then got a Stingray a few weeks later and now he driving me up the wall asking questions and for help.I rebuilt his tank 2 times and now he expects me to ''fix'' his mod all the time. The last straw was when he interrupted me at my job yesterday.I told him its time you learn on your own now,go toECF,google and utube.

Some people are not cut out for mechs and even VV mods.

I know exactly what you are talking about but it very nice that you were there for him and got him started and now you have pointed him in the right direction. I just tell friends that I only want to be responsible for me because when I do it for others it takes the fun out of it. They understand. Good luck to you because there are some people that it is just impossible to say "no" to.

Maybe you should get with him and spend 30 minutes and just verbally walk him through 1 build. You do nothing but give him instructions and include the one about dry burning his coils. When he has completed his build, pat him on the back and say, "geat job buddy now your on your own"! In Nursing school the model was See One, Do One, Teach One. That has worked well for me ever since! :) You might just save a working relashonship and get him off your back without hard feelings. Good Luck.

My friend called me up the other day to go over his place, and said "Oh yeah bring one of your spare "cloud machines" with you so I can vape it", cheeky ****!
So I took I took a slug mod with a TOBH and a sub ohm build up there for him to try, at first the nicotine nearly blew his head off but he proceeded to kill a freshly charged VTC5!

Some people!

To make matters even worse,he never even cleans or dry burns his coils for months,no offence, but i think he may have a screw loose. He says he will pay me 10 bucks each time to rebuild the tank, but after the the first time i think not, pretty freakn gross.

It's worse when you build a computer for a friend. You tend to become tech support that is on call anytime something goes wrong.

Just a thought. $10 a pop is not a bad deal for you HR. I don't know what tank it is, but I don't have anything here I can't wash out, re-coil and wick in say 10 minutes max. That's $60 an hour :). You could say you'll try to do it in three weekdays from the time he gives it to you, so you have time to fit it in at home, so he should have a few spares.

Don't send newbies here without a detailed roadmap.
This site has tons of great info, but it's buried and scattered over dozens and dozens of confusing sub forums.

Hold their hand if you send them here, otherwise it can do more harm than good.

I love this place but it's a cluster f@$! of a forum for a new vaper.

Oh - and HRH cleans all her atties before presenting them to me. The one time she offered up some filthy RY4 encrusted one, i just dropped it in the trash can by my desk.

It's also fair to say that rebuilding tank coil heads or making stuff for HRH is a whole order of magnitude easier than the stuff i usually build for myself. If she started wanting quad coils on a Plumeveil i'd not be delighted!

I agree! Think I will tell my wife she is on her own now! She makes me refill them and change burners and do everything for them. I had to get 5 systems ready to go for her because I went to South Carolina for four days. Enough is enough! I will show her who the boss is!

I wish I had someone to start me off ! I don't even know anyone else that vapes. I just knew I had to stop smoking and there was no way I could do it without something to help. Even as bad as the Blu's are they were important because they were a lot like smoking. Then my addictive personality kicked in and I wanted more....so I HAD to figure it out on my own......THANK GOD for YouTube !
