so any of you use dark juice and still manage to keep your cartos alive for more than a day?

I have been vaping VaporBomb's snickerdoodle for about three days straight in my mini BMF. It's a dark juice and haven't had any problems with the carto. It's really amazing to me that the filler in the carto is mostly white after emptying the carto. I was expecting the filler to stay the same color as the liquid. To me it shows how well the liquid wicks through the carto.

So how come people quote and take the time to remove the name of the poster? hmmmmmmmm?
That Toasted Hazelnut thing I got from vaperite was dark too, and thick. But like you say, once it was vaped, the filler turned white again. Its pretty cool to see.

We aren't removing it, just not putting it in there. I quoted you by highlighting the text, copying, pasting it into quote tags, not with the reply with quote button which will insert names. It's a habbit from other forums personally....and makes it easier to quote from multiple people in one msg, like this:

I have vaped some pretty dark juices, and none killed a carto after several refills. I tired of the juice though so didn't do any torture tests, but must have done at least 3 refills before washing and currently still using the cartos. I do have a carto that was filled with a very dark juice and sat for about 2 weeks now. It's still full according to weight, but vapor production is WAY low and it makes a not quite right sound, it's in the wash stack, I haven't pronounced it dead yet.

Wait, maybe I didn't understand your original question. When you say you want a carto to stay alive more than 1 day, do you mean like --- Fill in the morning, and still be vaping on that fill the next day? --- When I fill one it maybe lasts 1/2 a day, then refill & repeat and repeat and repeat... I thought you meant you fill it, use it 1 days and then it becomes dead/unusable and unrefillable to be thrown out.

no, you understood correctly. i fill my cartos throughout the day, since i am kinda paranoid about not letting it burnt. actually i fill it quite often, more like everytime before i vape. i have slack on filling before and end up having burnt cartos and as everyone knows burnt carto is yuck! so this is my routine: open a new carto, fill it up, vape it, whenever it tastes like it has lost flavor, i fill it again, so and so forth throughout the day. within a day, the carto will taste wierd and i have to throw it out.

I see. Well, I don't know if the difference in routines explains why mine last for weeks and yours don't. When I say it lasts a 1/2 day and I refill, I don't always do that immediately. When my carto is vaped out, I chuck it into a box and grab a fresh prefilled or one I refilled earlier and stored. Once a week or so I grab the ones in that box and refill them. So the same one isn't getting used constantly. I also use high PG blends. So the same dozen get cycled over and over for a few weeks. Maybe because I give it a rest it doesn't shorten the lifespan. I dunno, just a thought.

Well now I'm really curious.. how many licks does it take to get to the center of my tootsiPop?! :p

I really want to wash and refill a bunch of cartos I have, because I have a lot of flavors I havne't tried yet. But I think I'm just gonna keep refilling these two cartos over and over again, and see how long they last. I'm actually worried that I'll run out of the juice before they die! I don't want to change juice to keep varience out of the equation.

Lots of people have reported problems with high VG ratios in bmf cartos.

And I've also heard that sweeter juices, use one of two different kinds of sweetner. Some vendors actually offer "extra sweet" as an option.

AND I've also heard that a burned sugar/caramel is added to a lot of juices just to add color.

So... maybe it's a combination of VG, sweetner, and carmel color that kills cartos? depositing residue in/on the coil that stops it from working. ???

and haven't figured out a good way of organizing them to figure out what is in each one

I just use little round stickers/lables from walmart. By the pens/pencil area. They're made to write on, and come off with out problem.

As for the dark juice killing cartomizers, I believe it needs some clarification.

If the juice is dark AND stains the filler such that it is no longer even close to being white THEN it can and probably will kill your cartomizer more quickly than a clear juice by a substantial margin.

If the juice is dark but not does stain the filler then it has little negative effect on the longevity of the carto by the sole virtue of being a dark juice.

Basically, the same thing in the juice that stains the filler also clogs the wick and atomizer. So, the stain is the true indicator that the substance that will clog the works is present.

All of this understanding is generalized to "dark juices will kill your cartos".

High VG also has a negative effect on cartomizers with the same results.

I've done it both ways, fill throughout the day, and refill periodically. I'd look at the juice, what are you using coughing? I doubt it's just the color, what's the pg/vg ratio, brand?

i vape tasty vapor waffle 70/30, pretty much the same experience with 80/20. i checked my cartos, they do stain, in an earlier post i mentioned its still white and noticeably darker, well, true if i have only refilled a few times. But filler in some of the cartos are completely dark brown, and those are the ones i plan to throw away.

as i have mentioned before, i like TV's waffle because it tastes kinda like bloogs ry4. its really hard to find a juice i like, dont think i am that picky, but i do like waffle, and where this thread is going, is not encouraging..:(

Hmmm, did a quick search and see a fair number of boogers mention tasty vapor, but didn't specifically see waffle. Dawnsdone (where's she been lately?), RB37, Peeps (tv german chocolate, surely that is darker than waffle?) and superdrave all mention tv juices in bloog gear.....
Wait, got it, jayvap33 mentions tasty vapor waffle in this thread
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ette/161307-livin-bloog-life.html#post2662222
might shoot him/her a pm and ask if s/he's been having trouble

I do wonder if it might be the sweetener in the juice? I have no idea btw, hadn't looked into it really, but know from that thread you'll be heartbroken if you can't have the sweetness!

If that's what your after V4L's is similar. .

I didn't find that to be true for me at all! Love Bloog's RY4 but tossed out v4l's. Part of the issue is I just can't stand their 'premium' line in any flavor. And now we have a few votes for Tribeca to be the winner of the Bloog RY4 Look-alike contest. Looks like I'll need to try that afterall since our own won't be here for awhile.

This juice business has been a real journey for me. Bloog's RY4 tasted like tobacco cotton candy...not my cuppa tea. However, over time I have discovered that I do enjoy rich tasting flavors, and *some* hint of sweetness. Still never know what is going to be "just enough" versus "too much", or "just right" versus "oh no!".

Lots of people talk about waffle all over this forum, so I have some Toffle on the way. It was apparently an accidental combo of Waffle and Toffie, and has become a favorite amongst many vapers. (toffie is a sweet that I actually like in food, so maybe I will like it in a vape?) Who knows. Will report in to all of you waffle-lovers when it arrives. We'll see! :)

Not a waffle fan here. I heard the raves about it and tried the v4l version, and promptly gave them away. Couldn't even get thru the first one.
RY4 is about the only sweet one I like, but probably because it isn't all that sweet to me and has the tobacco undertone (sweet yes, just not overly). I just can't seem to warm up to candy/fruit flavored vapes.

There is only one that has made it into my rotation: Perique Blackberry (a tea-like tobacco with a hint of berry). It depends on my mood. Even that one seems sweet and chemical/perfumey at times, but hits the spot at other times. I'm a tastebud disaster zone! ROFL
