I'm committed! Bought my first mod tonight, eleaf istick Nano, after a week with the joyetech Ego AIO. Been tobacco free for almost 48 hours and there is no way I'm lighting a cigarette again. I am no longer a smoker, I am a vaper!

You just got two maxims of quitting smoking via vaping:

- backup hardware, or better yet, backups for your backup, and
- at least one all day vape (ADV), i.e. an eliquid you can enjoy vaping all day.

Good luck! Many of us have been there. It is definitely doable!

Yep, jumpin hit the nail on the head. And I think the liquid is the MOST important. Granted, you gotta always have a working battery and atomizer in hand or accessible..... but if you get tired or sick of your flavor/juice after 3 hours, you are likely to fall back on cigarettes.

I'd like to recommend a juice. If you smoked light or even red cigs, just not menthol, a juice that may somewhat closely mimic the taste or at least the overall experience is- unflavored nicotine. In whatever strength you prefer, and your PG/VG preference. Works for me personally, I love all VG Nic at 12mg in Kayfuns for mouth-to-lung vaping. You can buy it online many places very cheap, and can easily be used to DIY later on if you dont like it by itself, or added to tone down other strong store-bought juice flavors or to just stretch it out a bit

I have found that all the flavors I tried, and it was a lot, I may have really liked at first taste. But after all day or some amount of time, I just didn't like em anymore. For me and a few others ive heard of- the unflavored is the only all-day-vape we never get tired of. And there ARE ways to give it just a LITTLE flavor if you need it at times, so you may give it a shot. Feel free to ask me, or better yet some of the experts in the DIY forum, what all you can do with that. Best of luck! Naw, actually, just do it! You can do it!

For now I have the ego as a backup, should something happen to the mod. Also have a great B&M with late hours. I ordered more coils for each device because it was more economical online, the B&M has them if I need sooner. I'll be working on building up a small collection of devices as time goes by. So far I've enjoyed every juice I've tried, but really like the melon pear house brand from the B&M. I will be looking into DIY juice eventually. Now if I could just get my husband to switch too.

Congrats!!! It's great when we find what works best for us. I never thought I'd ever quit smoking until I took a serious look at vaping. I didn't quit right away, but I just kept vaping and the cigarettes just sort of fell away. With all the crap with the FDA, starting a small stockpile will be beneficial.

I was duel using for about a week, but now that I have at least two ways to get nicotine in a satisfying way I have zero desire to smoke. I have no cigarettes in the house and have no plan to buy anymore. I have hated smoking for so long, everything about it. It is kind of inconvenient to get into it just as restrictions are being tightened. Oh well, better late than never.

Welcome and congrats. I know you'll have a lot of questions down the road... don't hesitate to ask.. even the simple questions. Most of us have been where you're at, and are happy to help.

I'm loving the unflavored juice! Thanks again for the tip!
