Being an Socialist, Atheist french Canadian (Isn't this music to your ears? :D), I never thought I'd ever thank God for anything... Let alone my capitalist friends from across the border. But I have to say it:

Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. Without you I would still be smoking TONS of cigarettes, slowly killing myself . Since our benevolent "We know whats good for you!" Health Canada prohibits the sales of nicotine containing e-juice "because nicotine is bad!" I would have never made the switch and would have kept on buying cancer sticks

With good people like CASAA and other organizations promoting and funding real scientific reaserch, maybe one day, Health Canada will see the truth and start to save lives in my country.

In the mean time, I'll keep on vaping quality American e-juices.

Wait that makes absolutely no f ing sense The Canadian governmenT allows you To buy cigareTTes which conTain nicoTine in four Thousand oTher dangerous chemicals buT you're noT allowed To buy nicoTine fiT in a pure liquid form? So baSically in Canada you can only buy nicotine from were the government tellS you you can?

I am in the UK, Canada basically use the same health system. This week my disc ruptured and I needed emergency surgery on my spine as my spinal cord was compressed to 1/3 of its diameter. No bills, for the drugs or the hospital or the surgeon. I have bought an annual prescription card for $150 which covers all drugs I need prescribed by my doctor regardless of cost. I haven't used the health service much in my life before but was always happy to pay for it so others could get treatment and so it would be there for me when I was in need. It is one of Britain's proudest achievements.

If you think all that was do cheap and free for you, you need to go back and get your brain fixed. Someone paid for it, nobody gets lunch for free. How are your taxes?
I'd rather not have the govt in charge of my healthcare anyways.

Just out of curiosity, roughly what is the income tax rate in the US?
It's theoretically a progressive tax with the rich paying higher rates than the poor. The very poor don't pay any, middle class pays 25-30% and the rich generally pay 5-10 because of all the special loopholes and exemptions written into the tax laws

Glad you're off the cigs, ST. Could you maybe *try* to be a little less condescending in future posts? :)

I'm not trying to be condescending, sorry if you read me like that, actually quite the opposite.... I am who I am and I don't look down on people that have different religious political etc etc... I just love to "contrast" things a little. My GF is a protestant, republican, american (Yeah I know!!! I don't know how she can stand me either!)

And you are still a socialist? Mayhaps you need to rethink some things.

Nope: Strength in numbers my friend. I scratch your back... You scratch mine. That makes for a good society. Not a perfect one.... But a good one. As long as the people keeps challenging authority ALL THE TIME.

I know that customs can do that but so far... I'm lucky.

But, why would they permit the sale of nic juice while at the same time block it from entering the country?

I hate irrational things.

It IS Canada after all. They refused to allow me to enter Canada at the Windsor Bridge because I was driving a car rented in America. Told me that I could walk across and rent a car there if I wanted in.
