Just replaced the head on my SplitFire for the first time and the new 1.8 ohm (measured 1.7 ohm) head is fantastic at 3.3V!! Rampage never tasted so good! Stringing the wick through the holes was a snap thanks to the shoelace ends. The only downer was I found a small crack on the bottom tank at the bottom threads, no leaks but definitely a crack. No idea how it happened, but got extra tanks so no worries. Too bad my perfect Jimi Hendrix/Purple Haze color combo (purple top/yellow bottom) is now reversed, lol. :vapor: :w00t: :thumb:

It gives off a very satisfying vape, but is slightly more complicated than some other tanks. I have noticed that after a cleaning or a filling, it is possible for the terminal that contacts the battery inside of the 510 threading to have "extended" a bit, which makes it hard to mount on some batteries. Pressing the tank down "gently" on a flat hard surface does recess the terminal. The cracking you found is likely due to how extra tight the tanks need to be screwed on in order to prevent leaks. This is truly a wonderful tank, but it is also truly not something someone brand new to vaping will find easy or "reliable". Just my thoughts, and thanks to the OP for the review of the head change, since I had some concerns about that myself.

I've been vaping for only 8 weeks and find the splitfire easy to use but I have to agree about the Titan. So far I've tried Stardusts, Vivi Novas, Nanos, Shortys, T3s, and Titans. I like Titans the best with T3, splitfire and vivi nova all tied at a very close second place vaping experience. For looks and jazziness, the SplitFire wins hands down. In a month or two I'll step up to mods and RBAs and serious tinkering will begin. ;)
