@Chris: just got your package/letter. Thank you so much.

Funny thing is, it took the sample LRs less time to be shipped from China to you, Chris, then again to me, than the order I placed with EM earlier this month (ordered on the 3rd, left Guangzhou on the 10th but is still MIA). Sorry to say I don't have a big enough battery (650+mah, right?) as of yet to try it, still waiting for my EM package to arrive with my shiny new Riva1100 kit. But as soon as my Rivas arrive, I'll take it out for a spin and let you know what I think.

Thanks again.

yes, 650mah battery is ok for use of the LR attys,

the LR atty will draw a little more power from the battery
and so it will not last as long as with a regular atty,
but it should be just fine for a shorter battery time

it will also use a little more juice also,
other than that it should be just fine.

I wouldn't ever suggest that people use these with an eGo clone of any type. The battery can handle it but the MOSFET might die. There have been a bundle of people having this problem.

Glad i saw that, i have a janty eGo set-up ... Noob question time..erm whats a MOSFET ??

In the land of no hills and red dirt
Quick question....there's a hell of a big argument going on in another thread about IMR vs. regular non li-on batteries pushing current to LR attys. (And we're mostly talking about the EM LR510's.) Blah, blah, blah, resistance, amps, stressing the battery, etc.

When talking about 14500 and 18650 sized batteries, should IMR or high drain's be used, or would regular protected *fire batteries work?

Thanks for the help.

I cannot help here with these techie questions,

I do remember reading last time this was all discussed -----

the LR and HV attys - DO - stress the batteries,
this causes a shorter overall battery life usage, and total life expectancy --
and they use more juice as well,
but I forget the reasons, and the explanations that were given from our - 'sperts --

we need some of our techie 'sperts to come in here ----

battery info pleeez guys --- thankies ------

for some reason im not getting much vapor from these new lr510s? tried them on both the indulgence on 18650 and riva but not even close to the original ones, but mabe they need to be broken in a bit first go ill report back

Id say if you're strictly dripping you'll notice that they do get better within 48hrs & also depending on the type of cartridge used they would also work great from the get go. Definitely a break in period

hhhmmmmm

not sure what is going on there ----

mine are going good from the first puff,
I use a cartridge with mine,
but I have also used them and dripped them

they are good from the first puff, and very good vapor --

I am using them on bot the RiVa aND THE iNDULGENCE.

you must have a bad one there i think,
and if it is going good on a 6V,
it is not a good LR atty cos 6V should blow it ---

In the land of no hills and red dirt
ok been on it for a while now and still no vapor so i got ...... off and tried it at 6v and wow amazing, this thing rocks at 6 volts, so mabe they are hv510 that were mislabeled lr?? im gona measure the resistance on monday at work to make sure

Shocking a bad atty for a few puffs at 6v is a trick I like to pull with misbehaving LR's. Try it again at 3.7v to see if it made a difference.
