Hey all,
I just got a Joye 510 from Cignot over the weekend, and has quickly become my new fav PV.

I have realized that where the cart and the atty connect, there is sometimes a small leak for liquid that appears once in a while. Has anyone with a 510 realize this on theirs as well? I have switched out the carts to see if it was just a bad cart, but I on my third cart now, and still seeing a little leak now and then.

Also, it seems that the carts dont last very long (med vaping). Currently I am using the prefilled carts that came with it, and will re-fill those once they are gone. Do these prefilled carts have a short life, or is it just the leak causing them to not last very long (or at least as long as they should)

As always, any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

(PS, I didn't choose the thumbs down for the title. Maybe an accidental click)

Yeah, leaking is an issue with most PVs, I think. I recently read that it's a serious problem with 901s, but I have no experience with them. Now that I'm four months into vaping, I rarely get any leakage from my 510, but my friend that just converted is staining his shirts with the darn things. I think you just learn to adapt your filling/vaping/storage habits.

It's common to see a bit of liquid there when you remove the cart and push it back onto the atomizer. I think it's condensation from all the vapor. I just wipe it with a napkin whenever I pull the cart off to refill it.

I don't use prefilled carts, but with carts that I refill myself, they don't last very long. I find myself topping them off all day long. Anything you might have heard about how many cigarettes one cartridge is equal too is probably wrong. In time, you'll likely want to get e-liquid and refill the cartridges yourself. It makes things a little more complicated, but it's cheaper, you have more flavor options and can add liquid whenever flavor or vapor starts dropping off.

Get the 510 cartomizers, they last a whole lot longer and don't leak unless you over fill (use the condom method to refill). I get mines from liquidXpress.

I second this. The 510 cartomizers from Liquid Express are awesome! And that company is great to do business with! The leaking issue is pretty normal in small amounts and in my experience the prefilled carts never last that long. Of course even when refilling them myself I still top off pretty often.

I have no idea what you're talking about *drip, drip, drip* :D

Yeah, carts don't last nearly as long as you may think, just keep a couple extra and be careful to try and add a drop or so less then you think you need to avoid leaking. Also not all carts fit the same, some have a more snug feeling than others, I would suggest using those for filling and using and use the looser ones for dripping if you decide to give that a shot, it really does make all the difference. As for when you remove the cart for refill, the liquid on the sides near the vent holes is mostly condensation from the vapor passing thru (unless you just took a big hit of juice from overfilling 8-o)

I seldom get the leaking, but the problem I have is they seem to draw about the first 3 drops (4-6 puffs) out of the cart then taste bone dry. When I pull the filler material out, 3/4 of the juice is just sitting there in the bottom still. I've tried compressing the filler at levels of, leaking and flooding to won't give up anything.

I've tried almost every cart mod and material common around here and all are the same or worse. Pyramid tea bags, 2 kinds of Marineland foam/filter, straws (big and little stir stick size, zero filler with a chunk of the cart cap cut as a plug with a hole in it. None work worth a damn.

Of the ~35ml of juice I have gone through in my week of vaping, I bet I only actually got to use about 8ml of it.

Dude order some cartomizers & you won't go threw that cow Patty again. Trust me I been in your spot last week but since I got the cartomizers Saturday I've had no leaks, no topping off and sit it down in any position, they last long.

I've been using my 510 about 6 weeks, and I've had the same problem. I just hold it upright (cart up/led down) and give it a few thumps with my finger, or tap it a few times on my palm. The juice comes down closer to the atty, and I can vape the majority of the juice from my carts. I've tried several of the cart mods, but I use my own PTB mod most of the time. The filler that comes inside of the blank carts isn't good either, IMHO.
